amazing tour, amazing guide Vlad - excellent tour. Our guide Vlad was an expert and made it equally enjoyable and informative. He had extensive knowledge of the city and history and articulated clearly so much information that was important to know. The logistics of the tour went seamlessly and Vlad was very lively and friendly the whole time. He had a great ability to read our group and adjust the tour to our needs and interests

Learning about the Fall - The Ceacescu home. Talk about self indulgence! This tour helped put a real face on an incredible story, being the 1989 fall of Communism in Romania. Our tour guide, Marcel, gave very detailed explanations and the tour was well planned.

Best Communism History Tour In Bucharest! - If you want to get out of your hotel room in Bucharest and are also interested in history/politics - this is a GREAT tour. Romania has a fascinating history. Our guide, Marcel, was an absolutely a wonderful guide to us for the day! He was so polite and full of history/commentary about Romania itself! Was able to see different areas of the city I wouldn’t have seen otherwise. We also were able to see/ride the subway with a local who knew the ropes. I normally don’t ventured into underground Metros that I am not familiar with, but he made us feel safe so all in all it was neat to be able to say I had the experience here in Bucharest. I was a bit under the weather by nightfall and he was kind enough to bring me to the local market as well as the pharmacy. Translating for us for various things helped tremendously! We really enjoyed the restaurant he brought us too. Great food with a pleasant ambiance/pretty view!

Such an Interesting Day....Thank You! - My Husband and I had a wonderful day and extremely interesting private tour with Mikaela. She was very knowledgeable about the Communist era and of Romanian History and Culture in general. Having excellent English we learnt so much from this excellent guide, leaving us inspired to read and learn even more about Romania. Mikaela was also very friendly and kind about my walking issues. She spotted places for me to sit down regularly. A huge thankyou from us both, we would highly recommend this tour and Rolandia as a company.

Very Informative - Strongly recommended if you want to know more about the history of communism in Romania. What makes the tour particularly fascinating was the passion of my guide Cristi that explained the particularities of communism in Romania and the realities from nowadays.

The real face of communism - My grandparents are from China, and they lived under communism, but what I found out in Bucharest do the help of Ciprian exceed my expectation. It's incredible how the Romanian people survived 45 years under a totalitarian regim — a great history lesson for the new generation. Bucharest is not an impressive city, but Ciprian's excellent commentaries and the visit to the Palace of the Parliament, followed by Ceausescu Mansion, are a must for the visitors that have only one day in Bucharest.
