- Palace of Parliament - The construction of the Palace of the Parliament was the most significant representation of the systematization program enforced by Nicolae Ceaușescu in Romania. This systematization was an urban planning initiative inspired by Ceaușescu’s admiration for the societal structure and widespread admiration in North Korea’s Juche ideology, which he observed during his visit to East Asia in 1971. He aimed to apply similar strategies in Romania to transform it into a “multilaterally developed socialist society.”
- Muzeul National al Satului “Dimitrie Gusti” - The National Museum of the Village “Dimitrie Gusti” was named by the Romanian Government’s Decision no. 742/2003, art. 18 lit. This institution, originally known as the Village Museum, was the creation of folklorist and sociologist Dimitrie Gusti. It was officially opened on May 10, 1936, in the presence of King Carol II of Romania, and opened to the public on May 17, 1936. Today, it stands as one of Bucharest’s major tourist attractions.
- Piaka Revolukiei - Revolution Square (Romanian: Piața Revoluției) is located in central Bucharest, along Calea Victoriei. Previously known as Piața Palatului (Palace Square) until 1989, it was renamed following the Romanian Revolution of December 1989. The square is home to the former Royal Palace (now the National Museum of Art of Romania), the Athenaeum, the Athénée Palace Hotel, the University of Bucharest Library, and the Memorial of Rebirth. It also includes the building of the former Central Committee of the Romanian Communist Party, from which Nicolae Ceaușescu and his wife escaped by helicopter on December 22, 1989. In 1990, this building became the Senate’s headquarters, and since 2006, it has housed the Ministry of Interior and Administrative Reform.
- Mogosoaia Palace - The palace was completed in 1702 by Constantin Brâncoveanu in the Brâncovenesc style, which he had previously used for another palace he built in Potlogi. The work was finished on September 20, 1702, as indicated by the inscription on the eastern side of the palace. Although the exact start date of construction is unknown, it is known that Brâncoveanu began purchasing land in the area in 1681.
