Red Patrol is a true time machine - Dacia Letitia was warm and and fast even the bad weather outside. Our guide Crinu was telling so interesting that we didn't understood how the time has past. I heard and learned things that are not in the books. And was really like teleport with the machine of time. For sure I will choose Red Patrol again.

Really close experience of history in a fanstastic Dacia :) - I was picked up at my hotel at 9am in the morning by Ivan who is an absolutely friendly, helpful and experienced guide. My tour take place with a fully restored Dacia, the beautiful Domnica. After the welcome we drove to the Revolution Square, the first stop. Ivan told me about the happenings around there during the days around Dec. 21st in 1989, the escape of Ceausescu and his wife Elena in a helicopter and the reaction of the people. Normally we would have had the next stop at the House of Ceausescu (Primaverii Palace), but I decided to leave it out because I had already seen it before. So we drove directly to Boteni, to the place where Ceausescu left the helicopter to continue his runaway by car. After that we drove on to Targoviste, there is the place where Ceausescu got detained and executed later. It was so impressive to see the original place which has not been touched or changed since then. I could see the court room and stand in front of the wall where Ceausescu and his wife got shot. On the way back Ivan showed me the castle and monastery of Mogosoaia as free addition because we dropped the House of Ceausescu in the morning after my wish. We arrived back at the hotel at 4pm, where I also met Serban, the owner who had a present for me because it was already my second tour with Redpatrol. I was really happy to see him again. So concluding I can only say that this tour is a MUST if you wish to "relive" a bit the real last day of Ceausescu. You learn and hear so many interesting details. Serbans team of guides is just great, the drive in the Dacia is much more comfortable than you may think, free water is offered, toilet and lunch breaks are made. It is a happening, I will never forget this experience and will book another tour at my next visit at Bucharest for sure. Thanks and best regards from Germany! Jens
