Full day Bulgaria trip - Our tour guide, Narcis, was very knowledgeable and answered our many questions. We became friendly with people in our van who we had we had never met before. The restaurant where we stopped for lunch was excellent. We stopped just about the right number of times to stretch and use the toilet facilities.

Good value trip to Bulgaria - This is a great and affordable alternative trip to go on, especially in case you have pretty much done everything else in/around Bucharest. Ioana was a great guide and very patient indeed, as we had a late start but they were kind enough to drop us back as close as possible to our final destination. The places we visited are very interesting. All in all a well worth it trip!

Excellent! Would recommend! - Amazing experience, a lot of travelling and a very long journey. Would like to visit Bulgaria for a longer period next time as I don’t feel a day trip is enough time. Tour guide was excellent, very very knowledgeable, great English and friendly! Would recommend.

Lovely Day Trip - Guide and driver were both wonderful and the tour was seamless. The monastery was the highlight and the fortress was nice as well. The stop for lunch in the village Arbanasi could probably be changed - the village doesn’t have much to offer in the way of tourist activities. Be careful with the restaurant on the corner with the aggressive man calling you in - read the reviews BEFORE you go in. We were glad we did as one person ended up being sick on the way home after eating there and another didn’t get their food for almost an hour. The bus was a smaller one and not comfortable for anyone with longer legs - but it was clean and had power ports for phones. The currency exchange spot only takes cash so make sure you take CASH to exchange into LEV. €10 for entrance fees and then spending money.

A short Eastern side-trip adventure - There were parts that was out of my interest like going to the monastery but overall, it was an adventure to see the fortress and the artsy town of Veliko Tarnovo. There are only 3-4 main stops in the tour and the rest will be spent driving.

Not worth the time. - You need exact change in Bulgarian cash and the exchange guy will not give you small enough bills so come prepared with it before you go. The first stop was a monastery. If you're very Christian and you like to see old churches, then you'll enjoy this. Personally, I was more interested in petting the cat outside the monastery than the actual church. Next stop was a village, but there was nothing to do in the village. There was no time for lunch, no nice walking paths, and no history to explore. It was like walking around a tiny suburb. Really no point to it at all. The stop in the city should have been the highlight, but by the time we got there, everyone was so hungry we jumped on food first. This took so long that we barely had 15 minutes to explore. If you're interested in Bulgaria, then take a longer trip to Bulgaria, but if you're in Romania and just looking to add another stop in another country, don't waste your time with this tour. It's a whole day to see nothing much other than the inside of a tour bus, a restaurant and simplistic Orthodox churches.
