Stunning scenery, great guide - We vsited the beautiful village of Ruse with spectacular views across the valley. Beautful craft shops and places to eat. Plenty time to socialise with group or Sidane, our guide. As it was so hot, over 34c, I might skip walking all the way up to the hill to the church. Keep hydrated. Small group with about 12 people and very friendly.

A Taste of Bulgarian History - The Rock Monastery and the Patriarchal Comples. The Guide should study up a bit on the art work in the PC to be able to explain it. Also she sometimes talks so fast she is hard to understand. Nonetheless she is very capable and led a very good tour.

Long day - We wanted a trip to Bulgaria to see a new country & knew it would be a long day. Unfortunately we were on a minibus which was incredibly cramped, bumpy & uncomfortable. The monastery & fortress were good visits but we didn’t visit Ruse town which was on the schedule. The break for lunch was at 3pm so this should have been before the fortress, not after as this was a very long morning, having been picked up at 7:30. Glad we did it, but hit £ tiring.

Disappointing tour - The itinerary we purchased was not followed. We did not visit Russe, but instead visited the Cave Monastery. It was an interesting change, but difficult to manage if one has vision issues. Spent too much time in Veliko Tyrnovo. Very long bus ride and wait times to cross the border in both directions.

Disappointing long day out - This was a very long day trip - which is really not worth it. Firstly crossing the border into Bulgaria is not easy : it can take over an hour each way as passports are checked by border police for everyone on the trip . It is very annoying . Then you have at least another 1.5 / 2 hrs of travelling to get to the places on the itinerary. Toilet breaks were few and far between - had to ask for them and Bulgaria not great with public toilets - tricky for some of the older people on the trip . Then we spent very little time in each place - including having to go up to a fortress on a steep hill at the hottest time of the day 2pm in 39 C !!! Not ideal . It was a disappointing and incredibly long day - didn’t get back to Bucharest until 8.40pm ( left at 8am!) .

Worst ever tour and highly rude guide - This was the worst ever experience just because our guide was extremely rude . The tour start time was supposed to be 7:30 am and he still was picking last minute passengers until 8:21 am . I complaint to the company via email while we were waiting in the vehicle . He came in the vehicle later and very rudely and aggressively said that someone in the bus is very impatient and is complaining about the delay . He never introduced himself and all the time either was sleeping or talking non stop to the driver The company also changed the cities / tour at the last minute and when I complained again , I was told that I was the only one complaining and also they praised their guide that he was the best one . I exchanged about 10 emails with the company and in the end they tried to get rid of me by asking me to cancel the excursion with a full refund at that time we were one hour away from the city of Bucharest near the border , Our guide then right at the border broke the need that the tour is changed and we had no choice Everyone was disappointed and thought that the guide was rude , we have been to 60 countries and use Vuayor got trips but never had such an experience I would recommend viator not to use this company ever again

Sucks. ! - Did not pick me up at scheduled meeting place at 07:35 Novotel City Center. Extremely disappointed! I had to rush and take a taxi to JW Marriot Grand Hotel last minute. Will not recommend or ever go on this Viator again!
