Must do in Romania - This tour is worth it because Brasov is such a nice place to visit, so as the two castles that you will are included in the itinerary. There is enough time to see the 3 different sites. The tour guide, Sonia, is the best as she is very knowledgeable and organised. She is also very funny and personable.

Historical area - The first castle was great, but Draculas castle was a letdown. The story was written without any onsite view of the castle or area. It was, however, a lovely area and loads of history.

Could be improved - I joined the full day tour from bucharest to peles castle, brasov and bran castle. We were picked up at 740 am at the university square in central bucharest which was only a few mins walk from my hotel which was convenient. The guide was good, she was enthusiastic and friendly and shared a lot of information throughout the day. However the tour was let down by the lack of air con on the bus. On one of the hottest day in summer , it was very unpleasant to be sitting hours in a bus which was not blowing out any cool air from the vents at the top of every seat. There is also no curtain at the window to shield the passengers from the hot sun. The tour can be improved if the company invested in improving the most important asset during the tour which is the bus that ferries the passengers.

Disappointing - On the first stop, Peles Castle, the inside was closed, the outside was completely covered for renovation and, out of the 45 minutes we were given, I stood in the restroom line for 25 minutes. Our guide did not interact with the guests at all, only the bus driver. She gave her spiel about the specific places we visited, but nothing else. No information on the country, education, healthcare, government….nothing. She took no questions. There was not much consideration given for restroom breaks. It was advertised to “skip the lines”. That did not happen, and unfortunately it was pouring rain on top of it. Very disappointing tour, and I’ve always had great tours with Viator.

The tour was terribly organized! - The tour was terribly organized! In addition, the absence of any kind of guide or audio guide at all, completely useless accompaniment. On the way back bus stopped for a break. I was informed that its going to be 10min stop. I went inside to get some water, when walked out the bus was no longer there. The bus left the gas station without me. The gas station was one hour drive from Bucharest. I called and texted to the organizers, but no one answered me. I had to get a taxi to go to Bucharest. 2 days passed and nobody has got back to me.

TERROR IS NOT DRACULA, IT IS THE TOUR ITSELF - Total travel SCAM. How do you do it on BRIDGES OR HOLIDAYS WHERE THERE WILL BE A LOT OF SPANISH, YOU PAY €69 to go in a GROUP MAX OF 15 in a van and THEN THEY TAKE YOU ON A BIG BUS FULL OF PEOPLE. PEOPLE SPEND €70/Pers to have a more individualized and faster tour on the road (by taking the tour early you will find options HALF as cheap for the same trip on a large bus). When I told the girl at the meeting point that I had paid €138 to go with a small group, she told me that there were a lot of people that weekend and that they had to open it for all kiski. And she was so angry. They even brought in a Chinese to fill the bus even more. UNPRESENTABLE. THE ADVERTISEMENT CLEARLY SAYS, "GUIDED TOUR OF THE 2 CASTLES AND BRASOV" The guide, who on a GUIDED TOUR tour with small groups, is EXPECTED to accompany you ALL day only spoke for a while before arriving at each castle. Peles Castle is guided, the rest of the tour THERE IS NO GUIDE. Brad's because since he was plundered from the inside by the communists he no longer did the guiding, and Brasov didn't do the guiding either because he let us go to eat. Come on, scamming people. You contract something for a service and then it is nothing of what was contracted. I will study how to receive a partial or full refund for the tour. If TripAdvisor doesn't do anything about it either, I will stop using TripAdvisor forever. I trusted it because of the high rating it had, but obviously it was a mistake. Half of the comments are false (you can see that the profiles have the same photos) and the other half does not even realize that they were hiring a small group because it is the only tour that was left on the website, so you take what is left, like this that then they don't mind going on a big bus.
