We’ll commence our day with an exploration of the most massive and costliest administrative structure globally, the Palace of Parliament. We will then take a tour of the erstwhile residence of the Ceausescu family, who was the final communist leader of the Socialist Republic of Romania. After examining these two significant communist monuments, we will take a pause at the Revolution Square to discuss the events leading up to the revolution. We can then take a brief respite at a local eatery and an traditional sweet shop before heading to our final destination. In contrast to the Ceausescu’s previous abode, we will take a trip down memory lane to the era of communism. Here, you will get a taste of life in the 80’s utilizing genuine decor and furnishings, functional appliances and household items, local beverages, homemade snacks, and historical archive footage. You then have the option to return to the city center either via metro, for a taste of Bucharest’s daily life, or by car. The choice is yours.
