Early in the morning you will leave Bucharest behind and head north to get in the Carpathian Mountains. Your first stop of the day is Peles Castle. This is an overwhelming site built by the first Romanian king, Carol I. In this fairy-tale location you will learn more about Monarchy in Romania and its heritage. You will discover all the wonders of this beautiful palace which seems frozen in time.

Next, push further north to cross the mountains and finally get to the historical region of Transylvania. Over here you will start your vampire hunt and find out all about Vlad the Impaler and Bram Stoker’s Dracula. The first stop here is the medieval castle of Bran, also known as Dracula’s Castle.

After Bran we are heading to the 13th century medieval fortress of Rasnov, an impressive site built on a mountain top overlooking the whole valley around it. This awesome site was actually built by the Teutonic Knights when they first came here almost 800 years ago.

Your last stop of the day is the medieval part of the city of Brasov. Take a walking city tour of this charming old town with its impressive history and landmarks. From here you will journey back to Bucharest.

Great trip with a wonderful guide - My sister and I did the trip on the14th of March 2022. We bought it last minute as other plans fell through and we were so happy!! This was a great trip and we had the best guide (Gabriel) who knew the history so well. He took us on some extra sites in Brashov and gave us such a lively trip filled with information. We were so happy. You will not regret this trip - it was so good. Thanks Gabriel for a wonderful time, you made it one to remember 🙌

A must-do tour! - Shared Group Tour with tour guide Mr. Sorin. Mr. Sorin is very professional. He drives the van that carries 6 tourists carefully and has extensive knowledge of the history of the places we visited. His English is very good. The places we went to are beautifully unforgettable. The tour is ideal for friends, family and even solo. You will learn more about Romania, its rulers and royalty. Of course, you will know more about the real Dracula.

So much in one day! - Our guide Alin was awesome! He not only was knowledgeable of the history of all the places we visited, he was also personable and hilarious. We dealt with a long weekend official holiday traffic and he was able to get us there in a timely manner giving us a view of the beautiful countryside at the same time(others took 3-4x the time to get there), provided us with VIP style tours without the wait(some lines were crazy long), provided fast WiFi, recommended great local restaurant with local cuisine at an affordable price, and entertained us during the drive. We couldn’t have had a better tour guide. The whole day was unforgettable. We made a friend for life!

Amazing and enjoyable trip to 3 Castles! - I recommend others to sign up to this package because it is well organised and fun for such small but close group. We made friends with each other easily and have good laughter and stories to share with each other. The tour guide, Alin is hospitable, caring and take care each and every one of us. He even recommended good food to us at Bran Castle! Peles Castle is beautiful and a must visit. Bran Castle shows the difference between the myth and the history and good old town Brasov is scenic with lovely eateries and sight-seeing places.

Disappointing and not worth the money - I was on business in Romania over my birthday and was very much looking forward to treating myself since I was away from home. This excursion most suited me because I wanted to see all three castles it promised and was willing to pay for a solo trip. That said, my trip opened with my driver being late then spending the first 20 minutes of my drive going over the benefits of communism vice my itinerary for the day. He did not speak for most of the drive and gave very little input on what I was seeing throughout the day. I felt as if I was a burden most of the day. The trip also promised water during the ride but the tour guide said he could offer me an energy drink or nothing at all. The most disappointing part was both that I was left alone to wander Brasov, having just been told to "walk in a straight line" - with him finally catching up to show me an odd statue. Additionally, I only got to see two castles and not the one I was looking forward to the most - Rasnov Fortress. This was so incredibly disappointing and I didn't realize we weren't going to see it until we were well on our way back to Bucharest. I did not have time to eat at all that day so I was starving by the time I got home. All in all - This was a waste of money and time. I will settle for a less expensive group trip the next time I am on a solo trip for work.
