Bran, Peles, Brasov guided tour - Had a lovely day , our guide Vlad was very informative and kept everything moving in good time . Peles Castle was beautiful ,though under some renovation which stopped us being able to see it in its entirety. Brasov is a pretty town . Bran Castle was disappointing after Peles , smaller than expected and very little to see , what there was to see is made difficult by the overcrowding of people , also more expensive than Peles . Overall a great day , though expect to be out longer than 12 hours due to heavy traffic . Vlad however was superb throughout .

What a great tour! - Tudor was an excellent guide with extensive knowledge of history, but also of the economics of his country. He was well-organized to keep our group moving in an unrushed but timely manner.

Yeah, good! - It was great, everything was well organized, I had a great time with Eugen. A very good guide who knew how to explain perfectly what we see. Thanks, Eugen.

A great ‘see it all’ in one day tour! - Would highly recommend this tour for a whirlwind/see it all in one day trip to Transylvania. Our tour guide Vlad was amazing, so informative and great communication plus got us in and out and through the crowds very efficiently.

Pleasant visit to the castles, a day trip that can be challenging for the waits and overcrowding - The proposed sites are certainly worth a visit. Distances dictate a certain rhythm, times are quite limited, but still the program in a day can be done. The guide accompanied us continuously and showed willingness to satisfy questions and curiosities. As these are the most attractive tourist spots in the surroundings of Bucharest we inevitably found overcrowding, resulting in long queues (standing outdoors): there are undoubtedly organizational problems, not attributable to the guide. The ideal is still to do this type of itineraries in groups not too large, to move more easily and to be able to listen with the utmost attention to the explanations of the guides even in cramped and / or noisy places.

An interesting day in Transylvania - I booked this trip for a recent short break in Bucharest. I knew it would be an early start and a long day, but I wanted to see Transylvania. The landscape of Transylvania consists of valleys, snow-capped mountains and hairpin bends, and differs vastly from the flat environs of Bucharest. Peles Castle was closed that day, so could only be viewed from the outside, and was largely covered in scaffolding. Lunch was taken at the old town of Brasov, which was very picturesque and had several nice restaurants, and an amazing Christmas tree. Bran Castle was set in an impressive location, perched on the edge of a cliff overlooking a valley. It was OK, but quite crowded and a bit of a tourist trap. On the whole this was an enjoyable day, with Brasov the best part of it. A special thank you to our driver, Florin, for getting us there and back safely.

Meh. Take a bus to Brasov instead - It was ok. Peles castle is completely covered in scaffolding, which they failed to mention, so nobody wanted to take pictures-big let down. Dracula’s castle was….a bit cheesy. The castle itself is not as impressive as Peles and the whole fake dracula dummies and set ups seemed from Halloween horror nights at Universal Studios in a cheap way. Brasov was incredible, charming, and by far the highlight. Wish i would have just picked a bus to Brasov. They also charged more for me to bring my carry on even though the huge tour bus had ample empty storage compartments below…then made a big deal about being a ‘passenger mover’ not a luggage mover. Every stop there was a huge list of rules. We all felt like kids. Again, wish i would have just taken a bus to Brasov.

Long busy day! - I’ve always wanted to go to Dracula’s castle so we booked this one so we saw everything. Be prepared. We wasn’t told to pack food etc. take drinks and food the bus is long! 2.5/3 hours. The queues to get Into the castles are 1.5/2 hours long. You will see groups of people pushing in using the excuse “ my friends are up here” “toilet up here” I’m not joking groups of 30/60 people it’s an absolute shamble. It’s like the castles can’t cope with the amount of Tourists. Also they want you to pre booked the castle tickets online before you get there. Half the bus got scammed by buying them on a dodgy website so listen to the tour guide to what website to get them from. Would I come back and Do this tour again? Absolutely not. Glad I’ve seen the castles yes but it was a really long day.

Choosing the guide better - The day before a message arrives via whatsapp with the indications of where the meeting point would be and the departure time. Meeting Point: in a square where there were seven eight buses and without any indication or sign of our trip. With a forecast of departure at 7 until 6:55 we were 20 but there was none of the organizers in the square (more it was still dark and you could not see anything - we all made the square three times from beginning to end) Calling on the phone the guide answered that he was coming (at 7!!!). It was normal that everyone was worried about missing the trip because you could not understand where and who we were to meet. The only bus that could not find parking and stopped at the furthest point of the meeting point and on the other side of a road of at least three lanes with cars speeding. Departure at 7:30 .. with a full day and with the line that awaited us in Peles. Day started badly for grumpy attitude and bashing of the guide (Maria) who mistook the group for a high school class. Obviously no excuse for the bad organization. The whole day was spent in an inexplicably tense and polemical atmosphere especially with one of the members of the group... too bad it was supposed to be a pleasure tour. Even the children were scolded for having to make toilets quick. In our humble opinion, we simply needed a little tolerance and humility in dealing with the mistakes we made. Upon request to be dropped off at the return to the airport as widely agreed and as planned in the tour .. we were dropped off at 1.5km from the airport at an interchange of the freeway ... a walking path on the edge of the road. If the bus made the detour to the airport it would take 2 minutes. Poor customer management ... because with this treatment one thinks several times before returning and making a reservation with the same operator The only positive note: at least the driver Bogdan drove very well and we didn’t have any problems with carsickness – but this was certainly not the expectation of a guided tour in Transylvania.

In name only - So a few things, firstly this isn't Dracula's castle. When you go into it there is very little about Vlad the Impaler anywhere. Secondly you will be waiting in a long long line wherein other people will constantly cut in front of you as no one seems to do anything about it. Prepare to be disappointed and frustrated.
