The notorious Amersham Martyrs, otherwise known as the Lollards, were brutally jailed, tried, and executed in the early 16th century. There have been various accounts of chambermaids and barmaids experiencing unexpected interactions. Fear of witchery was widely spread among the inhabitants of Amersham. Join us on a fascinating journey through the town’s dreadful history, spectral occurrences, folklore, and recent inexplicable encounters. We will stop at the sites of reported apparitions, disembodied voices and screeching, paranormal actions, and instances of people feeling touched by an invisible entity.
