Buda is beautiful - Excellent tour! Ferenc was our guide. He was very knowledgeable, both with the history of Budapest and current events. Ferenc is very personable, the tour was like being shown around town by an old friend.

Amazing Fools and King tour with Laszlo - We had an amazing tour with Laszlo! All five of us in our tour were so impressed with his knowledge, wonderful stories that really brought the sites to life, and felt like we finished the tour with much more knowledge and appreciation of beautiful Budapest.

A fantastic exploration of Buda Castle and surrounds - Lazlo (Leslie) is a brilliant tour guide! He met us punctually at our hotel and we proceded to head towards the Buda District and Castle. He told us many interesting snippets about the locality and Hungarian history. We learned about the origins of Hungary, many famous Hungarians (Rubiks Cube, the biro pen, anyone? Amongst other interesting gems)! When reached the Castle, we were able to get some fantastic Photos of the iconic Chain Bridge and the Pest Side including the equally iconic Parliament Building. Laslo shared a number of friendly anecdotes to give us an insight of Hungarian culture. We learned about their humour, their ingenuity and their romantic side! We stopped by the Mathias Fountain, a band playing traditional music and the Royal courtyard and stables with the sunset in the background. We then stopped at a lovely café for a well-deserved coffee and cake. It was so delicious! It was getting dark, but this was perfect timing to see St Mathias Church and the Bastion (it is free after 7). This was a highlight of the tour, as we were able to see the Pest side in All its glory with Parliament lit up and other attractions (the Budapest Eye). It was so beautiful! After taking more photos and we were regaled with final stories about how some Hungarian students wish for luck in their imminent exams as well as a final World War Two story. Wow! What a history, we needed more time to explore (we didn’t get to the underground caves for instance)! With that, the tour (alas) was over. We thoroughly enjoyed the few hours spent with Lazlo (again, highly recommended) and he escorted us back to a convenient central spot in Pest to continue our enjoyment of this beautiful city! Thank you Lazlo for bringing Budapest alive for us!

Rebekah Gave Us An Amazing Private Tour - We had a group of 4 for a private tour with Rebekah. She started the tour by meeting us at our hotel, which was a great way to begin. She continually amazed us with her knowledge of the history of Buda and Pest, and was very enthusiastic throughout the tour. We asked a ton of questions and she was happy to answer all of them. We saw all the sites that we were hoping to see and more. The strudel and coffee break was also very nice. I would not hesitate to recommend Budapest Urban Walks to others.

Private Tour of Buda Castle District- Excellent Experience - Our Hungarian tour guide was extremely knowledgeable, welcoming, and patient. He took great care to ensure that our private tour was tailored to fit the experience we desired. Any questions we had, he was open to answer. Excellent customer service! We were able to take in the Buda Castle District, see the inside of St. Matthias' Church, lookout from the Fisherman's Bastilon, and more. The historical significance was a feature of our tour, and our guide did his utmost to ensure that we were able to approach these popular sights from a more local perspective. Our coffee and cakes were excellent as well, and there is an additional surprise in the middle of the tour (I won't spoil it, but you will like it). Finally, we walked down from Buda Castle and across the chain bridge to our hostel. The views are fantastic! Overall, I am very pleased with this experience.
