Budapest's Jewish history and much more - We had an incredible personalised tour of the Jewish quarter that not only showed us the synagogues but also covered so much more of the history and culture of the city. Our guide Kinga was so knowledgeable and our discussions went far beyond the scope of the tour. She introduced us to the ruin bars and local restaurants that we visited many times afterwards. It left us understanding much more about the great city of Budapest and wanting to return. Thanks again Kinga.

Excellent tour! Highly recommended - My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our tour of the Jewish Quarter with Adrienn, an excellent guide.. She was very pleasant and extremely knowledgable. The pace of our tour was relaxed and we felt that we were spending time with a friend. Adrienn picked us up at our river cruise ship and we made our way to the Shoes on the Danube Memorial which was incredibly moving. We had planned to return for a tour of Parliament on our own that afternoon. Adrienn was kind enough to help us purchase tram tickets and show us the appropriate tram stops. We then made our way to the Dohany Street Synagogue. Adrienn purchased the tickets and escorted us through the amazingly beautiful Synagogue, pointed out highlights at the adjacent museum and then showed us the memorials in the garden. I appreciated Adrienn's patience throughout the tour as I like to take many photographs. She was also kind enough to take pictures of my wife and me. Our tour continued with a stop at Noe to sample Flodni, a delicious multilayered Jewish Cake. We also visited a Jewish Butcher Shop, walked past the Orthodox Synagogue and saw the New-Old Synagogue. I was pleasantly surprised that we also visited the Ruin Bars which were a lot of fun. The tour was very memorable and we learned a lot. I would highly recommend this experience.

An Excellent Overview of Budapest Jewish Life - Our lovely private guide Adrienn met us at our hotel on time and off we went to explore the history and culture of Jewish life in Budapest. The kosher confectionery was our first stop, as per our request, since we were a bit hungry. it was a charming place owned by an Hungarian woman named Rachel Ray - not OUR Rachel Ray, however. We then visited all the synagogues and sights included in the tour description. The Great Synagogue was stunning. The Shoe Memorial was deeply moving. Adrienn was an excellent guide! Her expertise and knowledge of the Jewish community past and present were impressive and added so much to our experience. We greatly appreciated Adrienn's insights into the struggles of Hungarian Jews during the Holocaust and history as well as current Jewish life in Budapest. Highly recommend.

Walking Tour of Jewish Quarter - Raika, our guide, was wonderful. She was very knowledgeable and personable in giving us a tour but also allowing time to explore. She took us to see a section of the old Budapest ghetto wall put up by the Nazis that most people don’t even know still exists. Great experience all around!

Wonderful Day!! Make sure you are aware it is a "Walking Tour"! - The only complaint I have is in the description of the actual tour. We were a party of 9, ages 4 to 85. When I read that "Pickup" for our "private tour" would be at our hotel, I assumed we would be transported around in a vehicle to various Christmas Markets, this was not the case. Our tour guide Frank was wonderful, he accommodated us the best he could with the amount of walking that had to be done, putting us on public transportation and allowing us to go a little slower pace. We enjoyed our tour with Frank, he even went above and beyond to make Dinner Reservations and a evening boat ride on the river for us. We loved Budapest and hope to return one day.
