Highlights
- Esztergom Basilica / Cathedral - Embark on an excursion into Hungary’s history along the Blue Danube (3 historic places in 1 day). We start with a short visit by airconditioned bus to Slovakia and drive back to Esztergom, the Center of the Catholic Church in Hungary & visit the Cathedral.

Visegrad - After go on a tour around Visegrad the former Royal
Residence where you can admire a great view on the Danube Valley. Here, enjoy a Lunch (3-course menu with 1 mineral water)
before we carry on to Szentendre. - Szentendre - Take a look at the open-air exhibition of young Hungarian artists, then wander along the twisting, cobblestone alleys, soak up the Mediterranean atmosphere.
- Danube River - At the end of the tour return to Budapest on the Danube by public scheduled boat ONLY on Friday-Saturday-Sunday & (May to September) – the tour ends at the Pier/City Centre.

Join us for a picturesque journey to Hungary’s historical heartland! Our tour takes us to Hungary’s ancient royal cities. From Esztergom’s Cathedral Hill, you’ll enjoy a breathtaking view of the river and Slovakia. Don’t miss the Cathedral, Hungary’s largest Roman Catholic church. Crossing the border to Slovakia gives us a remarkable view from the other side.
Next, we’ll visit Visegrád, the pulsing center of the Danube Bend where a 3-course lunch awaits. Our chosen restaurant provides stunning views of the river bend and the famous castle that once housed Hungarian royalty. We also pass Solomon Tower, the former prison of Count Dracula.
The journey doesn’t end there. We’ll continue to Szentendre, a vibrant town renowned for its art scene, museums, bars, cafés, and boutiques.
From May until October 1st, you’ll be able to return by boat to downtown Budapest.
- Children must be accompanied by an adult
- Return by boat between 15th May - 15th September. In case of low water and during winter time, return to Budapest is by bus

A great day - We had a very good trip. Attila was brilliant. He had great knowledge and was very amenable with a great tone to his voice. The cruise back to Budapest along the Danube was wonderful.

A foray into history, religion, culture, nature and gastronomy - Interesting tour. Attila is a very knowledgeable guide with a good sense of humour. Boat cruise back to Budapest was a nice end of the trip. Would definitely recommend.

Wonderful full day excursion - Our guide Attila was great. He was very knowledgeable and informative. We appreciated getting to see the countryside of Hungary. Szentendre was beautiful and boat ride back was lovely.

A great journey and an even better guide. - The views, amazing. The trip was enjoyable and the food was decent. But the best part is Attila, the guide.
Fun, warming and with a great heart. If you want to do a day trip out of Budapest, look no further. This is it.
Learn about three amazing towns and even briefly cross the Danube to Slovakia. I cant recomend this enough.

Beyond Budapest - Was great to see a little of Hungary outside of Budapest. The Basilica was beautiful, lunch was plentiful and the restaurant was on a hill overlooking the Danube. The village of Szentendre was quaint and lovely to stroll through. Tour was professional and well run and l would recommend it l.

Enjoyable trip - A very interesting and enjoyable trip. Crossing the border into Slovakia seemed unnecessary and it would have been nicer to spend the extra time in Szentendre

OK but not great. - This trip included a stop at the Esztergom Basilica / Cathedral. The second stop at Visegrad is basically lunch with a view of the former royal residence. The buss then takes you on to Szentendre, where you basically walk around a little town. The final leg of the trip is on a public boat back to Budapest. Our group was around 25 - as advertised but the tour was conducted in both English and Italian, so we lingered 2x as long everywhere we went.

If you want to be on the Danube pick another experience - This trip was a disappointment, most of the time you are on an older tour bus, the guide had a poor presentation voice and bad audio, the restaurant had great views but average food.
The boat was uncomfortable, smelled of fuel
and the group waited a lot of the time to begin the next experience . Spend your day elsewhere.
