Great day out. - The tour was amazing. We had been to Budapest before and had thought we had seen the main attractions but the guide showed us soo much more. So many interesting sites near the main attractions. We also got to see the wonderfully decorated foyers of the opera house and the city baths.

New York City in Budapest - OMG! This is a must do walking city tour in Budapest. Our tour Guide Fanni was the best! She was fun, energetic, and knowledgeable. There were 11 of us on the tour and she managed to become friends with all of us. I highly recommend this walking tour because you stop at a lot of places, the sights are amazing, it’s worth the price, lunch and public transportation fee is included.

Full day in Budapest - Enjoyed our day with Fanni. She very enthusiastically showed us around both sides of the Danube and we saw many beautiful sites and learned some history of Budapest along the way. We both walked and took public transportation.

Great family tour with Fanni - We were a group of 6 (4 adults, 2 kids) and spent a wonderful day with Fanni. Her knowledge of the culture and city is unmatched! She was excellent with our two children (ages 5 & 8) and even gave my youngest a piggy back ride towards the end of the day. The booking process was easy and communication via email was prompt. Highly recommend!

Norburg was the greatest Guide and an excellent ambassador for Budapest - We were two couples traveling through Budapest independently for three days before joining an organizaed river tour and we wanted a full day private tour of Budapest. Budapest Urban Walks was terrific every step of the way, from organizing to confirmation. They’re the best!! The guide that we had was Norburg, who was everything that one would want in a guide…friendly, professional, knowledgable, fun and entertaining! He structured the tour based upon what we wanted to see and how long we wanted to be out. And I finding the comments from one of the previous reviews about being “too long of a tour”. Well…it’s a private tour!! If you’re tired, let your guide know and they’ll stop the tour…duh!! Comments like that are right up there with “loved the cruise but the ocean was too wet”! And while a longer day, we did get to cover everything that we wanted to see. It gave us terrific insight about where we would like to go back to and visit more in depth, as this is Budapest and plenty to do! Defintely, when we return to Budapest, we will only be booking with Budapest Urban Walks…they’re the only way to see Budapest. Ask for Norburg!!

A great day tailored just for my interests. - Leslie did a great job in helping me fill in the spaces on the history I knew of the area. Very quickly he caught on to the things that were most important and interesting to me. The day was wonderful. I am so happy that I chose to have my own personal guide and I would love to spend another day as I know I have that much more to learn! Thank you!!

Great experience! - Our tour guide, Odea, was wonderful. She picked us up at our hotel and crafted the day so that we could see what we wanted. She made Hungarian history come alive with her great sense of humor. We were able to hit all of the significant landmarks in the city.

Too long of a tour - Tour is too long under the current situation. Could not see the palace or much of anything on the Buda side due to construction. Went to the cathedral and briefly walked around and saw the president’s house….that’s about it there. Our tour didn’t go to the markets, nor some of the places in the description. We walked about 8 miles on a 91 degree day plus took trams and underground. There was too much walking and not enough stops with discussion. Most people could not have handled the walking. We seemed to zig zag a lot in the Pest area. Only went inside two churches, which we had to pay for, and the lobby of the Opera…..otherwise we walked by and looked at a lot of the important buildings. We walked forever to get to Heroes Square and to look at that castle for 10 minutes. Our guide, while pleasant, was not forthcoming and we had to ask him constantly about information as to what we are looking at, life in Budapest and Hungary-basically what a tour guide should be mentioning during a private tour. Lots of quiet on our 7 hours of walking. Visited a coffee house which was fine and sampled two desserts and coffee. Lunch was bare bones….2 sausages, bread and water which the guide ordered. We would have expected a sampler of Hungarian food and some wine in a quaint spot in the city center.
