Wonderful Jewish Walking Tour - I can not tell you how amazing Timea is....so knowledgeable, kind, open and informative. She made the history and current lives of the Hungarian Jews (and all citizens) vivid and real. We were a group of 4 couples from the Bay Area/California. She met us at our Airbnb, all communications were easy and clear. Post tour, she sent links to various histories/sites of Budapest so that we can delve deeper at our leisure. This tour was a highlight of our stay in Budapest. Please, do not hesitate to have her be your tour guide!!

An extremely memorable tour - I felt like we (my sister and I), were connecting with a long lost cousin with Timea. She was so warm, her energy was incredible. She is so knowledgeable about all things Jewish, Hungarian and the history of Jews in Hungary, especially Budapest. Timea is still extremely active in the Jewish community, and has preserved her Jewish faith along to her four children. It was fascinating to hear about the Jewish community that exists now in Budapest. Our family on our fathers side was Hungarian and I just assumed mainly all the Jews had left after the Holocaust, but there is still a strong Jewish community in Budapest, which gives me lots of hope and shows the resilience of our people. The Jews live on..B’H

Amazing and authentic! An absolute must! - We organized a private tour with Timea for 1/2 day on our first day in Budapest and she was incredible! Having grown up in Budapest, her insights were amazing. I booked with her directly via email, and she was easy and efficient with her communications on what to expect and allowed us to tailor to our interests. She picked us up at our hotel, and provided interesting commentary from the minute she met us. We learned so much. She even helped us with with recommendations of how to plan the rest of our time in Budapest and helped us with the app for public transportation, which was actually easy and came in handy. She followed up with a tremendous amount of information/links/websites/books/movies, etc..to learn more about the history of Budapest. Finally, a day or 2 after our tour, I reached out to Timea for some suggestions, and she responded immediately! I felt like we made a friend!

She is the best - First she is incredibly knowledgeable. Second she is warm and friendly. She gave us much information on Jews in Budapest both historically and present day. We enjoyed being able to walk around the Jewish section as she pointed out sights of interest. We also got to see beautiful synagogues inside out. It was also my birthday and she gave us a great recommendation for a Jewish Hungarian fusion resteraunt and where to get the best chimney cake in Budapest. What a wonderful tour

Fantastic and incredibly memorable tour! - Fantastic tour! Timea made us feel like long lost cousins she was excited to show around her beautiful city. We learned so much, not only about the history and culture of Budapest, but how to get around, and what to see and what to avoid. Her dinner or lunch recommendations were always spot on and really helped make a short trip an incredibly memorable experience. Frankly she made our trip. Highly recommend you do her tour on your first in the City.

Wonderful Tour - Our tour with Timi was the highlight of our trip! She was knowledgeable, through, warm and easy to talk to. We ended up spending more time with her than we planned, but could have easily spent more. I would highly recommend her.

The absolute BEST guide and tour! - Timi was recommended to us by someone who did a tour with her about a decade ago - that tells you something about the impact of their experience! And having now done a tour ourselves, we can see why. Timi is an amazing guide; she is knowledgeable and engaging with an immense capacity to bring history to life. We appreciated the education, and her personal story made it that much more powerful. Her insight was invaluable in providing a deeper level of understanding not only of the history but of the present as well - Timi transformed a quick visit to Budapest into something meaningful and significant for us. Our only regret was not having more time with Timi - half a day was just scratching the surface. Our next trip to Budapest will be organized around another, and longer, tour with Timi. Can't recommend highly enough!

Amazing half day in Budapest with Timea! - We just spent an amazing half day with Timea seeing the sights around Budapest and especially in the Jewish Quarter. She is so warm, engaging, knowledgeable and open to sharing her stories about her family and life in Budapest through the decades. Highly recommend spending part of your trip with Timea. She also provided an excellent restaurant recommendation when we finished our tour.

Best Tour Guide Ever! - My daughter and I spent two half days with Timea exploring both Buda and Pest. TImea is an outstanding, enthusiastic, passionate, and extremely knowledgeable tour guide. She not only shared with us her vast knowledge of Hungarian Jewish history but also her own experiences growing up in Hungary which added a wonderful personal touch to the tour. She took time to answer all our questions and give us her insights into the history and Jewish life in Budapest. We saw so many interesting sights and hidden gems that we would never have seen or noticed on our own. Both during and after the tour Timea sent us all kinds of links, resources, and recommendations to enhance our learning of and time spent in Budapest. There is something about Timea that sets her apart from other tour guides and by the end of your time with her you will feel you have made a friend in Hungary. We highly recommend Timea - she was the highlight of our trip!

Wonderful insights into Budapest - We started our trip to Budapest with a tour with Timea. I know it made a huge difference in how we understood and enjoyed the city. She is very personable and enjoyable, but also provides insights of real life in Budapest — past and present — that helped us truly better understand this city. I can't recommend her more highly. She also was so generous with her wonderful restaurant and activity suggestions both before and after our tour.
