Additional Information

Join us for an exhilarating journey - a trip to the Hungarian Puszta (a part of the Great Plain). Our excursion kicks off with a tour of Kecskemét, where you’ll observe the contrast between a rural town and the vibrant city of Budapest. The journey then carries on to Lajosmizse. Upon reaching the farm, we’ll be greeted with ‘barackpálinka’ (apricot brandy). Then, before witnessing a horse-show, we take a carriage ride in the ‘puszta’. The event proceeds with the thrilling performance of the Hungarian ‘csikós’ (Hungarian horsemen). To round off your day and make it unforgettable, we offer you a mouth-watering countryside lunch (3-course meal complemented with a glass of wine), served in a traditional Hungarian inn ‘Csárda’.

We then return to Budapest, with the tour concluding in the heart of the city.

Hungarian Horse Show on the Puszta - Atilla our guide was great. We appreciated the excursion in Kecskemet, and then the welcome drink as well as delicious lunch with wine before touring the stables and experiencing a carriage ride and horse race then horse show.... This day was a most pleasant surprise that I highly recommend.

Good show of horsemanship - Excellent visit to the horse show with some very talented riders. The authentic costumes and carriage ride made it a lovely day. The food at the restaurant was lovely and plentiful, they even catered for vegan and gluten free people. Visit to the second town wasn't necessary and very short. A nice look at other Hungarian towns but with only 10 minutes to look around was not worth the effort.

Puszta and Kecskemét - What a fantastic last day in Hungary. This trip was excellent, Jolanda the English speaking tour guide was lovely and really wanted everyone to enjoy their day. István and Doni the driver were also very welcoming. I would really recommend this trip to anyone, the lunch was great, I would perhaps have wanted more time to look at the stables but they were cleaning. Would certainly recommend Eurama for tours.

a lovely day, more waiting than expected - I loved the horse show and meeting the foals, it was a shame to have to wait for tour boats to get in before the show could start and I did feel a little like they missed out (didn't get time with the foals, etc)

Good introduction to Hungary. - We took this tour day after we arrived in Budapest so everything was new to us. Guide Anna was really good dialogue in English and German, lots of interesting facts not only of where we were but Hungary in general. Various eras including millions of years ago how the great plain was formed. Had about an hour stop in Kecskemet bit of a walk round popped into a couple of churches, to be honest compared to other towns we visited in Europe it didn't stand out but did give a contrast between soviet eraand pre-soviet era. Palinka on arrival at the horse show was a nice touch it became a favourite of mine while in Budapest Lunch was good with probably the best goulash soup we tasted and several other dishes, tables were set up for about 8 we were 4 so heaps of everything including wine. Horse show was good included horse wagon ride, interacting with farm animals and cowboy show. Enjoyable day would recommend.

Good - The Hungarian lunch was good, the driver and the guide are friendly. I expect more of the horse show. It was not as spectacular as my husband saw it 20 years ago.

Disappointed. - The show was was just ok, the lunch ok nothing spectacular. The city was ok the churches are pretty. The issue was the day drug out, too much sitting and waiting, we didn't get a chance to walk around the city on our own which was a bummer. A major issue was we could not hear the guide and were not offered hearing devices this made it all difficult. She also didn't really give us a lot of history or tell us what we would be doing we just kind of followed other groups.
