St. Stephen’s Basilica (Szent Istvan Bazilika) - You will see the most monumental religious building of the Hungarian capital dedicated to Saint Stephen the first Hungarian king.
You will have an option to visit the Basilica inside. - Hungarian Parliament Building - Take a photographic walk around the most impressive, iconic palace of the city, and the impressive square surrounding it.
- Buda Castle - We will take the public transport to the Castle of Buda. We will visit the famous Buda Castle: first we will explore the panoramic terrace of the Royal Palace with the most beautiful view of the city.
- Fountain of King Matthias - See a beautiful fountain made in the 19th century.
- Sandor Palace - Then we will move from the castle of Buda to the palace of the president with the guards in historical uniforms.
- Fisherman’s Bastion - As a next stop on the tour you will have the chance to admire one of the most beautiful and fascinating places in Budapest, the Fishermen’s Bastion with the famous panorama over the river Danube and the Hungarian Parliament building.
- Matthias Church - We will walk around the beautiful Matthias Church built in the Middle Ages in Gothic style. (A short visit inside is also possible on request, but it requires an entrance ticket which costs 5 EUR / person to be paid separately.)

Budapest walking tour review - Essential walking tour was an excellent service during our trip to Budapest. We were a group of 8 friends led on a very informative and interactive 3 hour walking tour by Orsi who was so nice to chat to during this tour. I would highly recommend Essential Walking Tours and in particular Orsi as your tour guide.

Highly recommend - Highly recommend this tour if you will only be in Budapest a few days. Takes you by a few of the main tourist attractions. Andreas was very knowledgeable and patient. We had a great time.

Buda and Pest city tour with best tour guide Bea! - Bea is the best!! Would give 6 stars if could! Not only does this tour take you all around the city of Budapest— both on the Pest and Buda side, but Bea gives you such a thorough and thoughtful picture of this city’s rich history as well. Highly recommend! Wonderful wonderful time.

We covered just about the entire city. - Our guide was Noemi. She was lovely, smart and answered all of our questions. I was with my sister. We lucked out because it was so cold, we ended up ha ring the tour to ourselves.
