Take This Hike - This was an outstanding experience -- highly recommended. Laszlo was a phenomenal guide: his English is excellent, he's very personable, and has a wealth of knowledge about the area's flora and fauna and history. If you've never been to Budapest, this isn't the first thing you'd do. But after you've seen the Castle district and the parliament building, etc., this is very worthwhile. Fifteen or 20 minutes from downtown on the bus, and you're in the woods, and still within the city limits. I'm no expert on ranking the difficulty of hikes, but I'd rank this on the easier end of moderate -- the hiking itself was not especially challenging, but it stretched over most of a day (there's also a shorter option that takes a slightly different route).

Amazing walk - Laszlo is an amazing guide. It appears he is one of those people who truly is doing what he loves. Not only I got amazing hike up the hills, but he planned little stops in the most memorable places. There was even a traditional pastry given and as it's out of the way of touristy tracks you would know that's as traditional as it gets. I was lucky and there were no other people on the walk so Laszlo tailor-made it for me we walked just as fast as I was able to (I think a bit slower than he is used to) it was a casual friendly walk with amazing stop spots to view the city that usually only locals get to see. Also, Laszlo is just a lovely man to talk to. At the same time, lots of interesting information was given in very casual way. I was told stories and legends about the places we came to and presented with the vast knowledge of wildlife. I was privileged and humbled by the experience.  If you are into hiking and find yourself in Budapest you should definitely book this with Trails of Budapest aka Laszlo.

Budapest Preserve Hike - Quite scenic, Laszlo has extensive insight into the wildlife and plants of the hike. Have him demo his app for bird identification. He was great about ensuring everyone was properly on their way post-hike (bus/metro). Very personable. You should seek out his custom website. Lunch was authentic& delicious.

A must for keen hikers! - As keen hikers we were immediately attracted to this half-day hike in the Buda Hills. We were very lucky with the weather, easy joining instructions, and our guide Laszlo kept us informed in the days before the hike. After a short bus ride our walk began at Normafa where you have gorgeous views down over the city. A gradual ascent through the woods brought us to the amazing Elizabeth Lookout Tower, then on to a small cave - with Laszlo explaining the history of the area and sharing his in-depth knowledge of the flora and fauna - it was lovely to discover he shared my passion for mushrooms! A second tower (a wooden, double-helix structure - beautifully constructed) provided further amazing views, and here we were presented with our certificates and badges! I almost forgot to mention the delicious strudel which is included in the tour price - yummy! If you love the great outdoors and want to get out of the city for a while, this is the perfect tour - Laszlo was amazing, very friendly and knowledgeable.

Hiking in the hills around Budapest - After several days in the city, we wanted to do something different and getting out to go hiking on the outskirts of downtown was a great way to do it. You’ll also enjoy a few epic views of the countryside from some amazing lookouts on several hilltops. Seeing the wonders of Budapest from that vantage point was unique and exhilarating. What was great was that we were able to discuss the history of Hungary, the current climate in the country, as well as learn about the natural world, including the flora and fauna surrounding us. I strongly recommend this tour for anyone who enjoys hiking and wants a break from the concrete of downtown. Laszlo, thanks for a great day!

Amazing experience - It was a great hiking experience for me. The guide Laszlo was interesting and informative. The views were amazing. Except hiking we had an opportunity to visit children operated train station. It was its 76-th birthday.

A must do activity when visiting Budapest - I was booked onto the ‘highest point hike’ by Journee as part of my itinerary for my trip to Budapest. I was apprehensive as this was my first hike but Laszlo was great and it was an easy hike! It was just myself and Laszlo on the hike and he was very informative on Budapest and we had stops along the way to look at viewpoints. It is a must do when visiting Budapest, the views are incredible!
