Worth every penny and much more! - Before anything else, visit it! You will not regret it. Perfect ambience, absolutely lovely people and an experience to remember. During our visit to Budapest, we visited Taste Hungary twice! We initially went for a wine tasting, which Tomas led so beautifully that me and my partner, who go to wine tastings monthly, knew we wanted to come again immediately. Tomas presented a selection of beautiful and delicious wines, all from tiny Hungarian producers, which gave us the opportunity to try wines and grapes we would never have otherwise, and that was such a beautiful night. This, however, pales in comparison to our next experience with them. The following night we went to the Chef’s Table experience, which happens every Friday and is a 6 course dinner with 7 wine pairings. Where do I start? The Chef prepares the food mostly in front of you and the food was nothing less than magical. Once more, locally sourced from small producers and you can taste the freshness of all the dishes. It feels like being part of a top chef’s experiment, and it could not been better. The wine pairings went so well together other guests gasped when it was revealed which dish would be served with the wine, exclaiming how perfect it would go together. I can’t recommend this experience enough, it is worth every penny and more. (Plus, they have a store with all the beautiful wines, bring an extra suitcase)

Great night! - A fantastic evening. 8 wines in total and two farmer boards (one for the white wines another for the red wines) with high quality cheeses and meats. The wines are excellent and the host is a passionate sommelier. A must do when in Hungary, a country that flies under the radar with wines but holds it own against France, Spain, Italy and Australia at a fraction of the price. I

Great experience, fun and informative - I'm really glad I participated in this activity while in Budapest. As a wine enthusiast, I found the level of information about wines, Hungarian wines, Hungary, pairing to be geared nicely to our audience, and tailored based on questions. As a wine educator myself, I know you can easily overwhelm your guests with to much information, so it's usually best to give basics and gear the deep dives based on their interests. Carlos, our host, did just that. Carlos, was knowledgeable, passionate and humorous. He came prepared to teach us the basics of Hungarian geography and history, and of wine in the country. Then geared how deep he went based on our questions and interest. He gave us time also to mix and mingle a bit and encouraged interactivity. The wines were delightful, I really like the whites especially. I love how the shop supports smaller boutique wineries that focus more on low intervention wine making techniques. It's so sad that Hungary doesn't distribute more to the US (I learned the production only just covers local consumption). But glad that now I have a shop that can ship to me if I need a fix! Thank you so much!

What a revelation of quality wine! - We were really surprised at the quality and variety of the tasting. From a glass of bubbly to start, three whites, three reds and a sweet Tokay to finish they all had something interesting to offer. The guide was very well informed and helped bring a relaxed atmosphere to the room. Mixed audience from Germany, UK and USA. The cheese and cured meats were also of excellent quality and it helped to be able to compare the wines with them.

Pleasant and instructive evening - It was a very pleasant evening in which the winemaker commented in all kinds of details on the origin of the wines and their characteristics. There were 4 whites, 3 reds and 1 sweet. It's a shame that there aren't these types of tastings in Spanish.

Wine in the afternoon - This tour was nice and quick. I was a little bummed when they had to move me to a earlier time but it works out. The guide was nice, the food was delicious and the wine was eclectic.
