Guilty soviet experience. - We had the tour with Barbara, who gave us a personal, passionate, really unusual and fascinating insight into an aspect of modern history hardly known to us in the west. A great day out. Fabulous photo opportunities and souvenirs.

Fantastic and fascinating! - Fascinating and fantastic in equal measure. The guide was superb and explained what life was like under the communist regime. She bought the statues alive with her stories. Definitely recommended, the bus stops right outside.

Interesting and entertaining - Fascinating engaging and fun (in spite of often grim subjects), Judit gave my son and I (as well as the others on our tour) a really interesting tour through the turbulent 20th century history of Hungary and the statues which defined key moments. The park has been laid out in s thoughtful way to tell the story of the Communist dictatorship and the relationship with the Soviets since WW2 Highly recommended

A Must-Visit: Memento Park Guided Tour with Judy - Memento Park is a remarkable open-air museum that takes you on a historical journey from the First World War to the end of communism in Hungary. Opting for a guided tour elevates the experience significantly. We took a tour in English with Judy. Her expertise and enthusiasm bring the statues and stories of the era to life, offering deep insights into Hungary's complex history.Despite receiving no public funding, Memento Park stands as a vital keeper of history, with each exhibit sharing a piece of Hungary's past. Judy's narratives provide context and understanding, making the tour not just informative but deeply moving. For anyone interested in history, culture, or understanding the impact of communism, this guided tour is essential. Judy's guidance transforms a visit into an educational and inspiring experience, making Memento Park a must-visit destination for a meaningful glimpse into Hungary's historical struggles and triumphs.

Really interesting ! - We opted for the English speaking tour. Think it is offered on Fridays, Sat and Sunday. Our tour guide was fabulous, knowledgable and passionate ! So glad we did it with a guide and didn't just wander around unaccompanied ! There is also a 'spy training' film (with English sub titles that you can watch before or after ... think it runs on a loop ? I'd allow about 15 minutes for the film (ask the office how long it runs for) - but we were there for about 10 minutes and didn't get to see it all. You can catch public buses there ( do need to change), but it is all quite straightforward and you can do the whole trip on the BudapestGO day ticket (don't need to buy a regional ticket).

Great, authentic experience - Wonderful, insightful experience with Judit and her wonderful Trabant. We learnt so much. We'd strongly recommend making the time to visit the park and combine it with a combo Trabant trip.

Historic monumental and thematic park - It was an amazing tour! Our female guide was excellent in every description of the park and the statues. She explained historic landmarks so detailed. We recommend everyone to go there because it’s a part of the history of Hungary.

Important part of Budapest’s history - Somewhere really worth visiting while in Budapest. The details the guide gave us, really helped to bring the park to life and an insight into the history of the figures. The park is thoughtfully put together and somewhere important to keep history alive.
