During this horrific tour you have to find your way through multiple chambers and labyrinths spread across 400 m2 (25-30 mins) while constantly bargaining or perhaps running for your life.

‘Nightmare in Budapest’ serves as an interactive horror play, or more appropriately, a voyage into the shadowy domain reminiscent of an American styled haunted house and magical castle amusement. Our objective is to develop a frightening, adrenaline-charged, spectacular, and highly exciting experience, leaving our courageous attendees, ranging from ages 14 to 99, with an enduring impression. Anticipating our thrill-craving, fear-voracious guests are our ‘stark raving’ actors within a 400-square-meter space (time duration: 25-30 mins) loaded with distinctive set designs, props, sound, and light effects. Do you possess the bravery to step in and face your deepest terrors?

Fantastic haunted house - read review for important details - Let's get this out of the way first. The actors in the haunted house will touch you and grab you. They did not have an option where you could choose not to be touched. If they did, I never heard about it. So, if you are not comfortable with this than this activity is not for you.
That being said we had a blast at the haunted house. If there is a better one I've never been to it. Almost all haunted houses I've ever been to mainly consist of walking around in the dark and people jumping out and trying to scare you. Which is OK, but I really appreciated what this haunted house did.
I don't want to say too much as I don't want to give anything away but there was a lot of interactivity with the characters where you did talk to them and have conversations which was pretty cool.
As I said, you will be touched and/or grabbed but neither me or my girlfriend were harmed in anyway nor do I feel like any of the actors were trying to hurt us. So if you're up for a scare give this one a try.
Do not that after you buy tickets through tripadvisor you'll still need to book an exact time with the tour operator so be aware of that and don't show up at a random time without speaking to the tour operator first.

It was our first time visiting Budapest on a city break, and this was by far one of the most fun things we did. It allowed for an exciting break between all the site seeing.

Fantastic scary experience with references to popular horror movies - We really enjoyed this experience, the actors are brilliant. The interactions and immersive experience are great. Definitely check it out, it's hilarious and scary all at the same time.
