The Austrian capital, Vienna, is a mere 240 kilometres away from Budapest, a driving distance of 2.5 to 3 hours via the highway. This tour includes a drive along the renowned Ringstrasse, Vienna’s principal boulevard, providing an initial glimpse of the city’s key attractions including the City Park, the State Opera House, the Museums of Fine Arts and Natural History, the Parliament, the Burgtheatre, the City Hall, and the Votive Church. We then embark on a brief walk through the most fascinating sections of the city centre: Museumquarter, Hofburg (the Habsburgs’ winter abode), Kärtner Strasse (a bustling shopping street), the Stephan’s Cathedral, etc. Afterwards, we offer some free time for shopping in the chic pedestrian zone, or an option to visit Schönbrunn Palace or other museums, or even explore Prater, the famed amusement park. Our return journey features a stop-over at Hundertwasser House (a journey into imaginative architecture).
