Kite in the wild!! - From the beginning process of inquiring and making the reservation Helen was very prompt and helpfull in guiding us so we can optimise our experience. As soon as we arrived, Helen recieved us with a very warm welcome. The accomodation beach hut style were comfy and the perfect place to disconnect. The school occupy a prime spot on the beach where we can store our equipment.Very convenient it made our stay super easy and relax.Plug and play ! We started our first day with a down wind. The instructors Miky and David and the Captain Cesar were very attentive and professional nothing was to much trouble. It is about 1h30 from Paradise island it is a must do!!The views looking out while you kite are amazing! We had a paquage with breakfast and diner included , food was very tasty and freshly made.We had delicious fish and meat Dominican style. And if you have special requirements they are very accomodating. While we shared meal time with other guest it allows you to meet extraodinary people and exchange lots of great stories! The site is not overcrowded at least when we were there...So we had lots of area to play with. Thank you for this special moments, we will return soon!

Best kite surfing school cabarete - I have tried a few kite surfing schools in the Dominican Republic and there is a clear winner. If you want kite surfing school cabarete or kite surfing school buen hombre I highly recommend this team of professionals. Everything they do is designed to make your kite surfing journey a blast! To make your experience more comfortable this school offers everything from transportation to lodging, spectacular graduation ceremonies, and an overall great vibe. Also if you are looking for a more simple option (just lessons) they offer that too. I would say the price is fair and they are an honest company who provides years of professional experience and they have a great reputation.

Beware of shallow waters and poor lodging/communication - Accommodations - Poor. It is a very modest camp site. They provide wooden triangular bungalos/tents with no electricity and one small window. You can not stand up inside the bungalo except for in the 3x3 feet area inside the front door. You will sleep under mosquito nets. Fans can be made available. There are much better and cheaper hotel options with electricity and air-conditioning available nearby. Kitesurfing - Bad and Good. The good is that the water is shallow (18 inches to 30 inches deep), is mostly flat and easy to stand up and get your board after falling. The bad part is that the water is shallow and has hard rocks/shells on the bottom. I highly, highly recommend boots, gloves and helmets. One hard fall could cut you up or bang you up quite seriously and end your day/trip. Staff - The staff is laid-back, perhaps too laid-back. Their communication level was poor. Integrity was lacking. They were not forthcoming when discussing policies, pricing and transportation options. Town - the town is very small and quiet. Other guests/kitesurfers: Friendship and camaraderie can be found with other kitesurfer and/or camp guests (from many different countries in my experience). Transportation: The hotel sponsored option for a private taxi will cost you $150 USD one-way. To "Do-It-Yourself" you can travel from Santiago/Puerto Plata to Esperanza using a shared taxi for about 250-300 DOP ($5.50 USD). Take a bus from Esperanza to Villa Vazquez for 800-1000 DOP ($14-18 USD) and then spend 400-500 DOP ($7-$9 USD) for a private taxi from Villa Vasquez to Buen Hombre. The "do-it-yourself" method does take longer, yet is an option that saves you about $120 each way.
