The trip of a lifetime if you love nature - Had a spectacular experience with Roderick and learned so much about the Rincon de la Vieja volcanos and the surrounding rainforests. My wife and I adored the volcano mud wrap and the numerous hot springs. The fact that the trip included a free cocktail at the hot springs was such a nice touch. The zip lining was a lot of fun as well racing back and forth above the canopies of the rainforest. We opted to not do the water slide and instead opted for the hanging bridges above the rainforest canopy. We were able to hike through the rainforest and see large troop of spider monkeys swinging around doing monkey stuff. The horses were friendly though some of the hills were quite steep and muddy, but it was a lot of fun. My wife also really liked the cultural exhibits. Lunch was cafeteria style with really fabulous food. Their pulled pork was nicer than the fried meat, but everything was tasty. We left happy, tired, and very full. The couples that went with us did the water slide and said it was quite incredible.

Great tour - Excellent tour! Had a great day at Sensoria and a beautiful hike. Our guide Elvis was outstanding and very knowledgeable pointing out many different species in the forest area. We had the opportunity to even see a Viper. We were able to swim in the falls and hot springs and finished up the day in the lodge area with a fresh prepared lunch. Everyone at Sensoria were very welcoming from the moment you arrive. You will not find huge crowds to compete with at Sensoria the tour feels private and never rushed.

EXCELLENT EXCURSION! - This is a WONDERFUL place. First off, our driver and tour guide "Alex" was absolutely phenomenal. He was very knowledgeable and a delight to talk to. Next the hike was not very demanding, however there were some steps. If you can walk a 5K you will be fine. Also do know that there are 4 water places you go into and they get WARMER as you go. They were all amazing and fun and I got a lot of great footage on my Go Pro. Also on the ride back, there was a sloth in the middle of the road and Alex stopped and let us out to see him up close. He even helped him get to a nearby tree to make sure he didn't get hurt in the road, which was so nice! Don't expect to see a sloth like this though. In his words, we were "mucha suerte" (very lucky) to see that. He also would stop the vehicle for us to take pictures and the cafe we stopped at was AMAZING. Awesome people with great artwork and I highly recommend buying from them. BRING A CHANGE OF CLOTHES! it's better to get out of wet clothes at the end instead of just drying off. Wear a bathing suit and sneakers for the hike. Know that this is owned by a man that loves his country and is doing everything to protect the natural beauty of it. He could easily wipe it out and build a tacky resort, however his vision is so perfect and genuine that he makes this world a better place. Everyone that works here and his family definitely have a special place in heaven for all the hard work and dedication they have for preserving this natural beauty. Please go and see it for yourself. Only 50 people a day go and only in groups of 10 or less!

Great rain forest adventure! - There are a number of your groups who take you to this destination. It’s a wonderful place - well worth the hike! Our 9 year old managed to keep up, but it exhausted all of us!

Great tour! - My 13 year old son and I thought this was a great tour! This tour lasted 10 hours. We visited a bakery for pastries and coffee at the beginning of the tour. Then we went to a lovely house where we were welcomed and offered blackberry juice. We changed into bathing suits and covered them with regular clothes and then went hiking with walking sticks through the rainforest. We saw sloths, capybara and various insects and birds as well as a viper. We got to bathe in a pool near a dammed up waterfall and in a hot spring. Thereafter we went back to the house where we had chicken wraps and sour guava juice as well as coffee. On the way back, we stopped at a souvenir shop to buy packs of Costa Rican coffee and t-shirts. Then we returned to our hotels. It was a fun day with a real work-out from hiking and discovery.
