Authentic Argentinian Experience - What an incredible experience. We were welcomed like family in Betty, Marcelo and Veronica's home. Incredible food and conversation. Highly recommend adding the mate experience to your booking. 11/10 would recommend to everybody.

Best ribeye ever - from a Texan - Wow. No way to describe this experience in words. As close as going to a friend’s family as you can get. Such an authentic home cooked meal with an educational tilt. As a Texan, I love my beef. That being said, the ribeye here was the best id ever had. Add the empanadas, pork belly, tri-tip, and Dulce de leche, you cannot go wrong. Don’t waste your time at a boughy steakhouse; this is the real deal you’ll remember for the rest of your life. Gracias Betty & Marcelo 🥰😋

DIne and chat with other world travelers - This was a blast and the food was quite good. If you're a reasonably extroverted person who likes to chat up strangers over a meal, I recommend this highly. Both hosts are a delight, Marcelo in a subtler way than his bubbly wife. We were a couple among a group of 14 people (mostly other couples), variously from Germany, USA, England, Brazil, and elsewhere. If you're an introvert and just in it for the food, then go to a local parrilla instead. No shade, honest recommendation. Your local parrilla is probably very good. Thoughts from a week later on the courses I remember: Empanada: fantastic, no notes Mortilla: Casing removed and spread as a pâté on toast. It's fine. Smart way to serve it. I ate mine and my partner's. I have trouble believing that anyone really loves mortilla. Chorizo: Juicy and delicious. Served as a sandwich. Too much bread for that amount of sausage. I'd suggest tossing half the roll and eating it open-face with some chimichurri. Grilled tomato: Perfect in every way. It's summer and tomatoes were definitely in season. I assume they serve something else most of the year. "Ojo" rib eye: This is what we're here for. Delicious. I think it's easy to underestimate how much thought Marcelo has put into every detail of the cooking process, from timing to wood selection to distance from the coals. He makes it look easy. It's not. Tri-tip: This is good but the ribeye is a tough act to follow. Wines: Not bad, not great. The cab franc at the end was the best of them. Very subjective of course. Fernet + Coca Cola: Try it if you haven't.

Amazing food and very welcoming hosts - Betty, Marcelo, and their daughter were such gracious hosts and taught us so much about the culture of Asad. They also taught us so much more about Argentina. They really created community amongst travelers and served us the most delicious food and wine.

A different experience to meet new people over dinner - We wanted a different eating experience from a regular restaurant and this was fun. The hosts were excellent and very friendly and the food was delicious. Wine also very good as expected bearing in mind this was a premium priced event. Only caveats were this was very meat heavy with tomatoes the only vegetables available and be sure to advise in advance if you don’t drink wine as tap water was the only alternative on the night.
