Hands-on experience learning about local Culture and eating. - We felt very welcome what appeared to bea local family's kitchen. Thomas showed us how to make mate, a local hot beverage. Then, he showed and directed us as we made two kinds of empanadas--cheese and meat. They were delicious ! Finally, we made short bread cookies and sandwiched them with dulce de leche. It was a delightful afternoon with good company and food.

Wonderful and delicious - Best cooking class ever! From trying the traditional drink and preparing and making both empanadas and alfajores. She knows her history, and was so welcoming in her home. What better way to learn about the Argentinian culture! It was wonderful for me because I love to cook and Laly instructed me all the way. Very hands on. And the end result: delicious! Highly recommend it.

Fantastic cooking class! - My partner and I had a wonderful time at the cooking class with Laly and her family at their house. We were taught how to make the dough and filling for the empanadas as well as the secrets to a great alfajore. It was a fantastic experience learning how to cook the foods and talk about Argentinian food, history and culture. We highly recommend this cooking class to anyone visiting Buenos Aires. We had a fun time altogether. Thank you to Laly and her husband for hosting us so kindly 😊

Disappointing experience - Held in a small, unkempt home with 12 participants in a space that would comfortably accommodate 6. They had to bring in an additional table and chairs. We were asked to wash hands in the family bathroom with barely running water and a dirty towel provided for drying. We chopped and mixed; they cooked. Burned cookies. Valentina rallied but it was not a hygienic location. She did the best she could to make it work. The blame lies with Laly, the owner, who did not attend. Still awaiting promised recipes.
