  The San Telmo district is reviving its beloved tango sanctuary. Michelangelo, a quintessential tango locale in the metropolis, is set to reopen. Situated at Balcarce 433, the edifice originates from 1849 and has undergone a complete renovation, poised to welcome patrons once more after nearly ten years of inactivity as a tanguería.

Michelangelo first opened as a tanguería in 1967, according to Machi. It had several closures and reopenings, the last in 1999 and then in 2005. At one point it was M Buenos Aires, then it became Samsung Studios.
Now it promises to regain the shine it once had. The central star will be Néstor Fabián, accompanied by six dance partners and an orchestra.
