Optimize your experience with a professional private guide - This was my second excursion with Dario as he was my guide two years ago while visiting Buenos Aires. He is very knowledgeable about the history, culture and politics of both Buenos Aires and indeed all of South America. He is very energetic and can tailor the tour to the interests of your older kids. His English is great. He personally drove us everywhere. I recommend him highly.

Dario is AMAZING - We really felt like family with Dario while he showed us his lovely city. My husband and I travel so much, but we really felt like a day with Dario really had us knowing and understanding BA. His recommendations and flexibility were top notch. Highly highly recommend this tour.

Great tour of Buenos Aires! Ask for Emiliano! - This tour took place the day before leaving BA, so we had already hit a few of the hot spots on the Viator tour list before taking the tour. Emiliano picked us up on time and before we left the hotel, he showed us a map and explained the entire tour to us and how he would tie the different areas of BA together with its history. His knowledge of the history of what we saw was very detailed and the stories and personal experiences he wove into his tour were awesome. We first drove through areas near the law school and the big metal flower, toured the Ricoleta cemetery for a little while (it's fascinating!), and drove through areas with old palaces of the rich that were now embassies, large monuments, and several museums. Then we made our way to Tigre for a nice leisurely hour-long boat ride on the Delta. After that, it was back to BA for a stop at the huge rose garden, where all the roses were in bloom. We had already been to Plaza de Mayo, but we stopped there for a bit more interesting history of the area. We also had already been to San Telmo Mercado and the Obelisco so we didn't go there, but it is on Viator's list. Then we went to La Boca, saw the Boca Junior's stadium, and then had some time in the Caminito area. We had a nice lunch at Hot Pizza with a pizzanesa a la fugazzetta as big as a 12 inch pizza. On the way back to the hotel, we learned the history of that area juxtaposed with the history of Puerto Madero, our final stop. All in all, the tour was perfect for the amount of time we had and was flexible in skipping areas that we'd already visited. Buenos Aires is an amazing and beautiful place with a rich history. Emiliano brought his own personal experiences to the tour, so we learned about history, economy, politics, and the people, and information that we wouldn't have gotten on a bus with 40 other people. If you can afford it, do this private tour. And be sure to request Emiliano. You will have a great time and learn a lot.

Private city tour and Tigre delta - Anna was a breath of fresh air. Her knowledge of Buenos Aires history and culture is exceptional. Her willingness and success at adapting our private tour to my wife’s and my interests would have been admirable if she had been given advanced warning, but her ability to change on the spur of the moment was exceptional. Passionate, entertaining, and a good driver with a manual transmission car in a city full of crazy drivers, I can’t praise Anna enough. And the delta boat ride in Tigre was pretty great, too

Fabulous City Tour! - I’m only giving this tour 4 Stars instead of 5, because we were a party of six seniors, and they sent a small SUV and we had major trouble getting in and out and was extremely uncomfortable. Ezequiel, our guide, was fantastic!

City Tour was great. Tigre is a waste of time. - Tour guide, Ana, was really good. Not all aspects of the tour are private. The Tigre Delta is a public boat, not a private tour. In general, the Tigre delta is not worth your time. The shopping is tourist trap arts and crafts. The boat company that was used by the tour operator was not on time and generally disorganized. Fair warning, the announcer on the boat only spoke Spanish and gave the entire tour in Spanish with no translation. There are no audio guides available on the weekends (only weekdays) so if you don't understand Spanish you'll have no clue what is going on. The city tour itself was really nice. La Boca, San Telmo, and the cemetery were great stops and were a really nice part of the tour. We would recommend finding the version of this tour that doesn't include Tigre Delta.
