Highlights
  • Buenos Aires - We will start with an introductory tango lesson in which we will show you the fundamental tools and mechanics we use to be able to improvise with other dancers in a social context. We will then provide you transportation from the lesson to the social dancing venue (milonga) in which you will be our guest at our table.

As you sip local wine, you will hear about the codes and perspectives of tango from local professional dancers (your guides), be able to mingle with locals, and observe & appreciate a night of live dancing in Buenos Aires where the locals go to dance. Depending on the day you book, it is likely there will be a live tango orchestra or dance performance.

In this private experience, you will be guided through a one-night immersion as if you were a local - not just to hear about tango but be taken into the doors of this world of dancing, traditions and codes through a personalized lesson and milonga tour with wine, experiencing the live dancing, music, and culture of tango that can only be experienced in this first-hand context.

This immersion is a special experience that many of our guests take back with them and re-live for years to come - sometimes even sparking a new chapter of dancing tango wherever they live in the world. Best Tango Experience - Such a lovely experience - Rafael and Esther are fabulous hosts who make you feel as though you’ve been friends for ages. The immersion starts with a tango lesson that gives you a better knowledge of the dance and ends at a milonga with beautiful dancing and wine. Rafael and Esther are super knowledgeable, answered all of our questions and explained the nuances of the milonga. So glad we booked this - unforgettable

Amazing Evening - We had an amazing evening of Tango with Andrea and it was a real highlight of our trip. The lesson was fun and Andrea was a lovely patient teacher. The visit to the beautiful Milonga was amazing and it was lovely to drink some red wine and chat about the culture of the tango in Buenos Aires. We were lucky to see a live orchestra too and a performance by some of the local dancers. Fantastic evening and would recommend to anyone.

Great evening, highly recommended - Great experience. Andrea is a very good and patient teacher, perfect for a complete beginner. She was also very knowledgable about the tango and its history and great company at the milonga, where we were fortunate enough to see live music and a professional show. Overall just what I was looking for and I would highly recommend.

Midnight Milonga - No visit to Buenos Aires would be complete without some kind of tango experience and I highly recommend this one. Andrea managed to patiently teach me and my ‘wooden’ legs the basic tango moves before we headed off to an atmospheric milonga that you would never find without a local guide. She was informative and great company and her enthusiasm for tango was infectious. I thoroughly recommend this great night out.

Tango experience - This was a really great experience and an opportunity to see part of Buenos Aires that you might not see as a visitor. We felt at ease as soon as Rafa opened the door, the tango lesson was pitched at the right level and teaching was very patient as we had never done and dancing like this before. If you are thinking of doing this you will have a good time with nice people who will make anyone feel welcome.

Tango Immersion Review - We loved the experience. What stuck out to me was that this experience truly felt to me like meeting up with a friend of a friend in another city. We were brought in and shown a lovely time by two very knowledgeable people, and had an awesome time not only with the tango, but getting to know them as friends. Would do it again in a heartbeat. Not to mention the tango lesson was delivered exceptionally well, and the Milonga we went to gave us the opportunity to see a fantastic tango orchestra. It was very private and gave us the opportunity to see a side of the tango nightlife that would have been rather difficult to make happen on our own.

Authentic tango experience - This was a great experience. We enjoyed our dance lesson with Andrea - and it helped us understand how tricky it must be to dance the Tango well! The trip to the Melonga felt really authentic - with a live Tango orchestra - and we had the added bonus of seeing a performance by the 2022 world champion tango dancing couple - which was incredible.

Disappointing - Our tour guide did not show the evening of our tour nor did they communicate that they would not be coming. We spent an hour at the corner in the rain trying to communicate with Viator and the tour guide with zero response. We did not hear from the tour until the next day stating that a personal matter came up and they apologize. I get that things happen, but you don’t tell us the next day and leave us in an unknown neighborhood, in a corner, that late at night. It wasted an entire evening of our time in Buenes Aires. Disappointing!
