Highlights
  • Buenos Aires - Begin your 9-hour tour with a drive from your hotel in Buenos Aires to the village of San Antonio de Areco. Enjoy views of the pampas en route and listen to commentary about the area from your guide.
  • Museo Draghi - Paradores Draghi is the ideal corner for those who enjoy the cultural attractions offered by a place. There you will access a tour through the sumptuous space where you can see a vast collection of pieces of rural goldsmithing of the nineteenth century, which reveals the mysteries of a period of national identity consecration of the figure of the Gaucho as a main character of that time.

In Paradores Draghi begin your journey through history not only as a spectator, but also as a participant in the process of making exclusive goldsmith pieces that take shape through the hands of artisans recreating the techniques of traditional goldsmithing as their founder, Juan José Draghi, did in the 60s.

Once you get to the town, you will enjoy a tour of the village including a walk around the historical downtown of the city.

  • Parroquia San Antonio de Padua - Located on Segundo Sombra Street, between Alsina and Arrellano. Don José Ruiz de Arellano founded the first oratory in the center of his stay. The foundation of this oratory was very important for the creation of the town. In the years 1720 and 1728, the first chapel was built, it was located a little more to the right than the current one. The foundation stone of the present church was placed on February 7, 1869 and was buried under the central entrance door. Inside it was placed a lead box containing the original records written on parchment, newspapers of the day, medals and coins of the time.
  • Estancia El Ombu de Areco - Make your way to a Estancia in Buenos Aires in San Antonia de Areco. At this place, you will have a chance to take rides on horses or go for a ride in a carriage while enjoying some traditional cold cuts, cheeses and beverages. Then, you will enjoy a typical Argentinian barbeque of the finest meats. While you have dessert, you will be able to see a folklore show followed by a demonstration of gaucho skills.

Enjoyable visit n experience at a Gaucho ranch - We joined this tour led by Sophia of Signature Tours on 30 Sep 2024. It was a very enjoyable tour with horse riding, horse taming skills display by a gaucho and lots of food n drinks at the ranch. It’s a long ride from Buenos Aires city but Sophia made the ride easy with her useful n interesting commentary along the way. We also had stops at a gaucho museum and San Antonio town. Overall a value for money event.

A taste of the real Argentina - From the moment we got in the van, Sofia made us feel welcome, feel comfortable, and feel free to ask her any questions. Throughout the day, we knew what to expect and Sofia and Felix kept us in schedule, and entertained. It was a great day trip and a fantastic way to see more of Argentina than just Buenos Aires. We ate and drank until we couldn't eat any more and enjoyed a great taste of the gaucho culture.

Exciting day at yhe Gaucho ranch - Excellent full day at the Gaucho farm in Ombu after a visit to San Antonio. There was a warm welcome from Stello (our tour guide) who gave us a good intro to Argentinian history, especially for Buenos Aires (city and province) on the journey there. After some delicious empanadas, we did some horse riding around the ranch, also watching the young gauchos should us their horsemanship skills. We had an sumptuous BBQ with plenty of meat (chorizo, offal, chicken, pork and beef) and salads, followed by flan dessert. The day ended with music and folk dancing, before returning to our hotels. Great day and excellent hosting from Stella.

Once in a lifetime experience! - Thank you Veronica and Charlie for an amazing experience at our Gaucho trip! We learned so much about Argentina and had a once in a lifetime chance to ride a horse and spend a day at the estancia called, L’ombu. We also would like to send a special thank you to the staff and gauchos at the l’ombu estancia. It is such a beautiful place and the food is so delicious! The entertainment and the horse whisperer show was the cherry on top! Truly a very memorable experience! We would recommend booking your day trips with this company! It was truly a VIP experience for such a good price- from the pick up at the hotel, to the tour itself, to the direct drop off at the hotel. It saved us A LOT of time planning for ourselves as we just sat back and enjoyed the trip! Thank you!

Most memorable experience at gaucho ranch - Truly wonderful experience with a small group. Learned so much about the gaucho lifestyle. Annaji was our tour guide and she was so fun. The dancing, food, and wine were lovely. The animals at the ranch were adorable. The horse ride was really nice with gentle horses. And to top it off, we really enjoyed the boleadoras.
