Fantastic Cairo food tours. - We booked two food tours with Mila. They were different but both were interesting, informative and good value. We experienced a wide variety of egyptian foods and eating establishments. We visited fast food stalls, juice shops, markets, family restaurants and a koshari cafe. Mila was informative describing the food its origins and how and when to eat it. She was very intersting in describing her life and family and very open to answering questions. Overall these were two great evenings and I can highly reccomend a food tour with Mila.

Amazing Foodie Tour! - Magy was wonderful! She took us to spots that would be hard to discover without a tour guide. We really felt the food was authentic and she is very knowledgeable on Egyptian culture and food. She’s an open book for any questions you may have and is very accommodating to the entire group. The evening was unforgettable and the value of the package is well worth it. She fed us to the point where we got super full! We highly recommend!

The "Magy" Food Tour of local Cairo immersed in culture, family and decadent Egyptian Cuisine - For my 65th birthday, my daughter gifted me a local 3-hour food tour of Cairo Egypt. As I'd not been on a food tour before, I was pleasantly surprised to experience local Cairo walking the streets with our Food Tour Guide "Magy". We began with exploring local markets specializing in the sale of fresh fruits, vegetables, legumes and nuts watered by the Nile River. (How happy I was when each provided us bags of food to eat later!) Next, Magy introduced my daughter and I to the families who ran Eateries specializing in Egyptian lunch and dinner. To my surprise, we were greeted by each with warm hugs and handshakes as we were seated for our meals. "Magy certainly is a beloved family friend in these communities." As we explored each of the many local Cairo eateries, we indulged in such delicious lunch and dinner items such as Hamam Mahshi, Koshari, (my favorite) Ful Wa Ta'ameya, (fava beans patties, pita bread, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, tahini sauce.), Tamiya, various Egyptian Pastas, Shawarma, Kofta and Kebabs, and my favorite meal, dessert. We devoured many desserts that included freshly made sweet Baklava, Basbousa Cake, Um Ali Bread Pudding with Egyptian Coffee and Hibiscus Tea. And yes, each restaurant gave us a take home bag of food as well. When the tour ended, I wished I had taken many more pictures and brought a bigger take home bag. The most important bag for me was the one filled with memories of this day that I will take with me for a lifetime. When you visit Cairo, I strongly recommend our new friend, Magy and her local Cairo Food Tour. You will leave with many fond memories of the Egyptian People lived through their food and culture.

Once you begin speaking with her it’s clear that she’s very knowledgeable and eager to create the best tour possible based on what you’re hoping to taste/see. Great experience with teens. - Come with an expandable stomach! Learn & taste what Egyptians eat for breakfast, lunch & dinner. Magy is a warm, friendly & very easy going host. She’s clearly put a lot of thought into where to take her guests. The local restaurants, cafes & bakeries are all appreciative of Magy’s effort to highlight their delicious local food to international guests. We particularly loved the warm welcome with the vendors themselves & interactions with some curious locals. The food was a million times better than anything you’ll find in one of the tourist restaurants. Magy, well done for creating such a unique and delicious experience.

Eat and see Cairo like a local - Magy is an incredible woman who wants to show you how to eat like a real local. This tour is in a local area that tourists would never visit. We had breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, street food, and a bakery visit.... There is no possibility of eating all the food, but you can bring it home, or Magy will give it to someone in need or even feed a few stray cats or dogs. Magy is so sweet and very knowledgeable and will do all she can to help to enjoy the experience as much as possible. This is a tour designed and provided by her, and it is such a wonderful way to taste local food. I would recommend doing it early on your trip so you can enjoy the food again while you are here. Excelent! - If you're looking for a unique way to explore Cairo’s culinary scene, then book this tour! Mila made us feel like we were exploring the city with a friend. We visited several local eateries that we would never have discovered on our own, tasting traditional dishes like Masha and alot more. The tour offers opportunity to interact with friendly locals and shop owners, gaining insights into everyday life in this fascinating city. We learned alot about both food and Egyptian people's life, would highly recommend to anyone interested in Egyptian food and also wants to explore different parts of the city you may not otherwise see.
