Variety of Egyptian cuisine - Magy was very kind and patient. I was running late and she helped me navigate to catch up to the group. Great variety of food too!!

Unforgettable Evening - We took this tour on our first day after arriving in Cairo and it felt like the perfect introduction to this amazing city. Mila was an exceptionally good host and felt like an old friend within the first few minutes of conversation. She has an impressive knowledge of all the history, ethnic groups, environment and culture that have contributed to Egyptian cuisine which she shares all while all while juggling two cell phones coordinating transportation on the fly for our group of seven. Plan on eating a lot!! and pace yourselves. My only regret is not being hungry enough to appreciate some of the later food due to being so full, but that’s often the case with food tours. Throw in a bustling market visit and tuk tuk ride in the “chaotic” section of town and you have the recipe for an unforgettable evening.

A must do for anyone visiting Cairo - Mila was amazing! So kind and knew exactly where to take us for authentic Egyptian food. Every food she introduced to us was absolutely delicious!

Egyptian food as it should be - Mila gave us the perfect food tour experience. Coming from the United States, we wouldn’t have known where to start to sample authentic Egyptian food. Mila made it so easy for us. Our first stop, we knew we were in for something so unique and special when we took off our shoes to enter carpeted, tented off area just for our group. She explained all of our dishes, their origins, and what family dining is like in Cairo. It was all delicious. Come hungry because you will be very well fed and several locations! We ended at a busy market that also would have intimidated us as tourists. Mila helped us to go to these places with confidence. We highly recommend!

An amazing introduction to the REAL Cairo - culture & food & people - I had my first trip to Egypt in April and arrived in Cairo. I had booked a custom tour with Mila for my first day in country to get oriented to the local culture, real life, the street food scene and how the locals really live - not what tourists would see on their tours and hit lists to visit in Cairo. I was not disappointed. Mila was warm, personable, extremely knowledgeable, and gave really in-depth insights. She cares about her country and city and its people. Besides offering advice and insights about people, practices, religion, food culture, daily life & struggles, and economic realities that served me well for the rest of my travels across the country over the next 10 days, I got to visit neighbourhoods and parts of the city that tourists seldom get to see or experience. While my tour was a custom 5-6 hour tour, in conversation during our tour, Mila learned of my interest in vintage markets, and it turned out that a weekly one was on that day, so we skipped a number of food stops so we could explore an amazing multi-block vintage flea market, which I thoroughly enjoyed and found a couple of great finds which I will treasure from my Egyptian adventure and day with Mila. Point being, just let her know what you are interested in exploring and she can customize or pivot to accommodate. Of course, the real food, real people, and real neighbourhoods off the beaten path were wonderful and amazing to experience with a caring local. Mila is the guide you want to book with, whatever your interests, focus, or amount of time you have to invest. Price was very reasonable and fantastic value for money, and she is a lovely person and ambassador for an authentic cultural deep dive. No better way to spend your first day in Cairo! Shame that Mila's former website crashed and she lost dozens of other fantastic reviews, but trust me, dozens and dozens of other positive reviews led me to her, and you will not be disappointed to book any tour with her.

Eat like an Egyptian! - My husband and I were treated to an exotic culinary adventure! Magy took us all around the evening hustle and bustle in the deep streets of real Cairo, where we learned how the locals shop and enjoy their favorite dishes.

Local food and culture experience of Egypt - The tour guide Magde was so good. She is passionate about Egypt and wants to show it to you through her eyes a local who has grown up there. She does it using the traditional foods of Egypt in a completely local environment of a local market with fruits and vegetables being sold along with other goods interspersed with local restaurants. We went through traditional breakfast, lunch and dinner with drinks and dessert over three hours and to experience the culture and foods of Egyptians, our topping glory was to witness the locals watching the African league championship football game between Egypt and Tunisia. Egypt won. What a delight. Wouldn’t miss this experience. The foods were delicious and we would not have been introduced to them but for this tour.

Local food at its best - Was recommended to us by a couple of travelers we met during our time in Egypt and decided to try it out on our last night in Cairo - Magy was our guide who met us about 6pm and Brought us around the local area where we deffffinitely would not have explored by ourselves. Was a whole experience trying out their local food which is very very different from the touristy areas. We were too full to try them alll. But its really a must-try in your time there. Magy is very passionate abt travel and tourism and is super knowledgeable as well. Do not miss this!

Authentically Delicious - This tour was a highlight of our brief trip to Egypt. If you have the chance to enjoy Magy’s experience, do not hesitate! It is truly wonderful to eat the delicious, authentic foods that real Cairo dwellers love alongside Magy’s gastronomic and cultural commentary. In addition to introducing us to amazing food, Magy answered our more general questions about Egyptian culture and history. Lastly, I am vegetarian and left feeling completely satisfied with my experience. I couldn’t recommend this tour more!

10/10 experience to try local Egyptian food - Magy was a fabulous host for our food tour. The tour was well organized and we got to try many new and different dishes we wouldn’t have known about otherwise. We really valued the evening we spent out in Cairo with Magy and would 10/10 recommend her to anyone visiting the area.
