You will be able to see the very first water well in Bulawayo! This is just one highlight in the midst of a veritable treasure trove for those interested in the history of the city which was established as a town all the way back in 1894. Cecil John Rhodes timber yard, the Selborne Hotel and many other areas of historic interest lie within a short walk of each other.
There’s so much to see and you will experience the hustle and bustle of a unique city in the heart of Africa. After a visit to the market it will be time to see a bit more of what the city has to offer.

It’s time to climb into our air-conditioned minibus and get a rolling tour of the some of the city’s famous architecture. The red sandstone buildings that line Main Street are unforgettable features on our journey to the Cenotaph a monument to those who gave their lives in the first and second World Wars.
A short walk from here is the national art gallery, one of the first buildings in Bulawayo, and nearby in the township bordering the city is Macdonald’s Hall the first meeting place of the national resistance which began in the late 1960’s. This is just one of the highlights and we will visit many sites of historic significance of that period and after an informative presentation the tour will conclude and we will return you to your lodgings.
