Rodeo PLUS! - We had a great steak dinner, walked 10 yards to the rodeo then walked another 10 yards to a covered dance Pavillion. This place has all the fun you could ask for!! Tejas family has mastered date night!

Fantastic night at the rodeo! - We absolutely loved our visit to the Tejas Rodeo! This was our first rodeo so we didn’t know what to expect. From the moment we parked and saw how pretty the place was we knew we had come to the right place! We had a warm welcome (despite being foreigners!) and throughout our evening everyone was so kind and hospitable. The rodeo itself was brilliant: exciting and interesting, keeping the pace up so even the children didn’t get bored! Their favourite event was the mutton bustin, which got the biggest cheer of the night, but the skills of all the participants were seriously impressive throughout. We left early due to a long drive and thunderstorm but would have loved to have stayed on for the dance. This felt like real Texas and we loved every minute. We would highly recommend this to anyone visiting San Antonio!

Definitely do it if you've never been to a rodeo! - It is absolutely worth it! A very popular atmosphere. Not the big rodeo competition like they do in the big stadiums. It is a bit remote - so a car/uber is necessary. Be sure to buy tickets in advance!

Old school Texas fun…. - An absolutely wonderful evening spent here again with visiting family. The entire event from parking until the end of the night was well thought out and so much fun. A perfect way to get out of the city for a true Texas experience. Enjoyable and patriotic in its own sweet and respectful way. In addition to the excitement of the rodeo, afterwards, a great band was playing for both dancing and listening. We did not dine in the restaurant but peeked in and will definitely make reservations next time. Mentioned, I have never seen so many young people NOT staring into their phones. Simple old school fun.

Smiles all around - Didn't know what to expect, and was pleasantly surprised! All of the staff were kind and helpful, the food and drinks were priced better than expected. The skill of the participants did not disappoint. Bit of a drive to get there, but would do it again. A Texas must do.

A perfect place and activities for a family with children - Our visit to the Bulverde Rodeo was on the last day of our tour through the San Antonio, Hill Country, Fredericksburg area. we were 15, with 7 children between ages 7 and 13. We spent seven days in the area and had an absolute blast! The rodeo was the perfect finale for the tour. It has activities for people of all ages, and our children enjoyed the mechanical bull, the mutton busting and other activities, as well as watching the rodeo from the side. We also enjoyed dinner at the restaurant, which is quite family-friendly and offers surprisingly good food and beverages with a fairly rapid turnaround, to make sure you don't miss many activities. While not cheap, this was a worthy investment. Early in the day, we took the family to Bandera, just a few miles from Bulverde, where other, similar activities were available, including a "Western shootout" and other cowboy culture spectacles.
