So much food! - Bill is an excellent guide. The differences in ramen is amazing. There is a lot of food on this tour, so come hungry and don't fill up early. This is a must do tour in Tokyo.

Slurpaliciously Delicious!! - Arguable the best ramen I’ve tasted in my life! Thoughtfully curated and paced. You start with the foundational flavors which are out of this world. Completely different quality and culinary mastery compared to the ramen shops in the US!! The quality and attention to detail in Japan is totally different. Then you start moving to the more creative interpretations from the foundational flavors. They were surprising and slurpaliciously delicious! The tour is also very informative about the history and styles of ramen and my guide Mikaela was a great host. She shared that the creator of the tour, Frank, eats 400 ramen noodle bowls a year!! Frank then shares some of his favorites in Tokyo on the different tours offered on Viator, each with different itineraries. I joined the Shibuya one and will check out the others next time I’m in Tokyo. Thanks for creating such a memorable culinary adventure!

Tasy snd fun history lesson on Ramen! - Great fun in history lesson about Ramen and visiting Shibuys Scramble Crossing!
Sahori was our tour guide. She is s native born Japanese. She speaks English fluently with no accent, so she’s easy to understand. She was very nice snd friendly and knowledgeable about Ramen.
We went through the Shibuys Scramble Crossing on our way to the first Ramen shop. We visited 3 shops total.
-Hokaido based Ramen
-Ramen Nagi- the originsl place that nkw has locations in the US.
-Ramen curry shop
Go as a couple. This way you share 4 mini-bowls of ramen at each restaurant. Each one is s different type of broth.
Each store has a different style of noodle.
I have been to Ramen Nagi in Palo Alto. The original one tastes better snd hsd more of a variety.
It was nice to get 4 varieties at each shop because I would never have ordered that many varieties on my own. The bowls sre mini-bowls, so you have room in your stomach to taste all 12 varieties.
We also met two other couples, and it was nice to get different perspectives and learn about their visit to Japan.
I highly recommend the tour for ramen lovers. You will taste and enjoy many varieties that you normally don’t eat, and you learn about the history of ramen.

So fun! - This tour was so much fun! Bunga was really friendly, funny, and clearly extremely passionate about ramen. I learned a lot about the history, how it's made, and what my ramen "profile" is, which will be interesting info to use when we go back home. And to top it off, all of the ramen was amazing. The spicy ramen and burnt garlic were soooo good. There was a decent amount of walking, which we expected, but it added to the experience because we could see a different, more residential side of Tokyo, away from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist areas. Definitely recommend, especially around lunch time.

She was friendly and knowledgeable about Ramen and the history of ramen we went to 3 ramen houses. Tried a total of 12 types of ramen. Each ramen house represented different regions of Japan and different broths and spices.
All were delicious. You can also purchase alcohol to go with the dishes. You meet other couples as well. We really enjoyed the tour.

We had our favorites, but all were great. We enjoyed walking around Shibuya and Ebisu, and our guide, Sahori, made it fun and interesting. Thank you for a memorable and very fun experience, Sahori! We highly recommend this tour!

Awesome tour! - With this being my first visit to Tokyo Japan, one of the first things I wanted to do was to experience the various ways ramen is prepared in Japan and to deepen my understanding and appreciation for the dish.
With that, I began searching for a tour company that was submersed in the Japanese culture, informative, educational and could provide a balanced and well-rounded experience.
After an extensive search, I came across the company “Viator.” After reading the reviews, I decided on the “Ramen Tasting-Mini Bowl Ramen Tour.”
The tour was scheduled for 10/10/24 at 5pm. Our tour guy (Deep), arrived on time at the location given. He was very personable, enthusiastic, friendly and displayed a passion for his job. He provided us with the evening’s itinerary and inquired if there were any allergic concerns and/or special diet restrictions he should be aware of.
We visited three separate ramen restaurants each exposing us to the various ways which, ramen is prepared. Each of the restaurants provided ramen bowls which contained fresh ingredients and tasted amazing. The flavor profiles varied at each of the restaurants, so you didn’t feel as if you were eating the same thing every time.
Although, the tour described the ramen bowls as, “Mini” by the end of the tour you will feel more than satisfied. I would highly recommend only having a light snack before your tour and come hungry.
It became clear at the onset of our tour that Deep was very knowledgeable and possessed vast amounts of experience with respect to the Japanese culture, specifically, as it pertained to ramen and its origin. He was able to answer any question posed to him which, further demonstrated his expertise as a guide. Without question, his personality enhanced our overall experience making for a very enjoyable tour.
If you’re a lover of ramen then this tour is a “MUST.” When booking, I would highly recommend requesting Deep as your guide, you’ll be glad you did.
