Beautiful! - Beautiful castle and grounds. Larger than expected, wish we'd allotted more time. The dinner banquet is also a great time.

A Jouney back in time. - An great day out for couples and families. You take a self guided tour of the folk park and caste and experience what life was like in rural Ireland in the past. Staff are all very helpful and friendly and we had a great chat with "The School Teacher" and "The Blacksmith" as well as the musician playing the Tin Whistle. Children witll love the animal pens and some of the activities organised during the day. Make sure to get the timetabl;e on the day you vsit so you dont miss out.

Great place to visit with lots of history to see - We really enjoyed our time here - so much to learn about the depth of history in Ireland. Amazing castle but the grounds are a sight to see also.

Beautiful Grounds and a well preserved Castle - We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Bunratty Castle. We had a lovely day, not too hot and very sunny. The folk park surrounding the castle offered a great look into the past of Ireland. Be careful as you enter the houses though as the door frames are very low and I hit my head a couple of times. There was a fiddler strolling through the grounds, which added to the experience and every person we met was incredibly friendly. The castle itself is well preserved and was well worth the visit.

Really lovely experience - Having been here as a child around 30 years ago I didn’t know what to expect but we were not disappointed. The venue was still hyped up for Christmas which was lovely. The castle is really interesting with the rooms filled with artefacts. All the houses in the folk village are brilliant with lots of information about the types of houses and the people who would have lived there. There was a man doing blacksmith work and talking about the process white as interesting hear. Lots of animals to see and accompanied by the lights were lovely to see as it got dark. We would like to come back in the summer as I’m sure there would be a lots more to see and experience

Variety of houses and animals - We have visited Bunratty over the decades, and we've loved the addition of so many animals, Irish wolfhounds, goats, pigs, as well as so many types of houses. Wonderful castle, and friendly and accommodating staff. Durty Nelly's is the place to visit prior to entry.

Wonderful place with wonderful staff! - Everyone at the park was so kind and engaging as we took in the park. There were people singing, playing instruments, blacksmithing, woodworking, and more! I talked to a woman about knitting and yarn for quite some time, and another gentleman about one of the mills on property. The shops were a great opportunity to pick up a few souvenirs of our trip, and the artisans were all very willing to talk and answer questions. I loved every minute!

Brilliant place to visit - Brought my wife here last year during a trip to the area. The Castle was restored in 1954 and has been a must visit tourist attraction for visitor to Ireland. The folk village houses, school and pub give you the opportunity to see Irish life in medieval times. The pub is a real functional pub to enjoy a few drinks or an evening socialising

Review is only for folk park since Castle was closed due to an event - we reached there late. Only by around 4:30 PM. The castle was closed off for a banquet that night so we could go into the castle. They told us the the folk park was closing in 50 min and they gave us discounted tickets (half off) - we had kids and they wanted to check it out. Its actually a whole lot of fun, Farm animals, an irish way of life from the olden days, hand made pottery and jewelers, an old school replica with musicians, a fairy trail, churches, and an awesome playground for kids. we used up the entire 50 mins - they also have a lovely gift shops with some great deals on perfumes which we bought for friends and family. Would have definitely stayed longer if we had the time.
