Burnie Attractions Bus (Route)

Begin your journey at the Makers Market, where a complimentary shuttle bus will transport you from your cruise ship.

2. Upper Burnie Lookout
Enjoy a brief stop to take in stunning views of Burnie and capture a memorable photo of your cruise ship.

3. Emu Valley Rhododendron Garden
Explore the famous Emu Valley Rhododendron Gardens, where you might spot a wild platypus in one of the ponds or lakes. Relax at the charming café with a panoramic view of the gardens, where you can purchase a Devonshire Tea or other refreshments, or simply enjoy the scenery. Admission charges are included in your ticket. (Toilet facilities available)

4. Fern Glade Platypus Reserve
Immerse yourself in the serenity of Fernglade Reserve, where pristine wilderness meets abundant wildlife. Encounter native wonders such as the elusive platypus and vibrant birdlife, offering a glimpse into Tasmania’s wilderness.

5. Penguin
Conclude your excursion with a brief visit to the picturesque seaside village of Penguin, named for its charming little penguin colonies. Stroll along the scenic esplanade and sandy shores, and be sure to capture a photo with the iconic Penguin sculpture, experiencing the warm community spirit and coastal charm.

6. Burnie Regional Museum
Our final stop is the museum, which features a reconstructed street depicting Burnie in the 1800s. Entrance is free. If you disembark here, it’s a 5-minute walk to the shuttle bus.

For the Regatta ship, the tour will visit Guide Falls instead of Penguin and Fernglade.

• This is a TWO HOUR drive around Burnie led by a onboard guide with series of stops, some very short. The first departure is 10am other departures can be purchased from the eGuide desk once you arrive into Burnie, or if sold out here.
