A short but comprehensive guided tour of the Burren - Despite a howling gale and very heavy rain showers we were entranced throughout the guided walk by Paul's knowledge and enthusiasm for all aspects of the geology, human history and flora and fauna of the Burren. We can recommend Paul highly to anyone who has an interest in learning about the Burren.

The only way to discover The Burrren - I can’t recommend Paul from Kinvara Walks enough. He brought myself, my partner and our three kids (16-10 years) on a 3.5hrs walk through The Burren. He was so knowledgeable of all things about The Burren it’s plant life, history with some folklore thrown in for good measure. We could have wandered around ourselves but would never have experienced The Burren like we did with Paul. He knew everything, brought us to see some hidden treasures. He was great with the kids and even though we got drowned by the rain they along with us thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks a million Paul from Lorraine, Derek and the kids

Incredible guide, beautiful location - Paul was such a joy to walk with and learn from. He had incredible knowledge about the flora and fauna, as well as the history and geology of the Burren. It is such a unique place and the Cliffs of Moher tours spend barely 20 mins here so I was thankful to find Paul offering a tour that was substantial and immersive. He was also super patient with my questions and brought so much wonder and delight. More people should go on this fantastic trail!

Great Hike, Terrific Guide, Memorable Experience - I very much enjoyed my guided walk in The Burren with Paul. I appreciated that pre-trip he answered all of my E-Mailed questions timely, and that the hike met in a location that was very easy to find (the Londis supermarket in Kinvara). Paul is a geologist with a deep curiosity about The Burren - his knowledge spans not just readings but also workshops, lectures, and seminars that he attends in order to learn more about this unique and fascinating landscape. He also comes prepared with flora books to identify any flowers on the spot that he doesn't already know. Paul's presentation style is attractive - humble / not flashy, deliberately-paced but not slow. The 5 hour hike with Paul was one of the highlights of my trip to Ireland, and even better, it was very affordably priced. Come prepared with water, food, a camera, and comfortable hiking shoes.

Knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide brings magic landscape to life - The Burren is one of the most interesting and beautiful landscapes in Ireland. Paul Dunne, local guide, is not only knowledgeable about the geology, flora, fauna and history of this special place but is a warm and friendly advocate for the meaning and value of this singular landscape. His guided tour is not just informative but lively and fun, interspersed with anecdotes about the Burren and the Kinvara area. Paul is generous with his time which flies by. We had a wonderful walk with Paul and can whole heartedly recommend him as a guide. We’re already planning our next tour with Paul.

Great experience walking the Burren - Paul is a very knowledgeable guide who loves the Burren flora and landscape. He was helpful at all times and kindly pre-arranged a taxi for us (we arrived in Kinvara by bus). We were able to ask lots of questions. Paul really knows how to talk to children and keep them engaged. Bring water & food for the walk. Weather changes quickly so it’s helpful to dress in layers. Terrain can be rough so boots are recommended. I would definitely recommend this guided walk. Great experience, thanks Paul!
