Driving time between the two attractions will be approximately 2 hours. Immerse in our healing thermal water at the famous tourist site of Mugara. Burundi is endowed with 2 major hot springs which are believed to have healing power. Hot springs are produced by the emergence of geo-thermally heated groundwater from the earth’s crust. The temperature of rocks within the earth increases with depth. If water percolates deeply enough into the crust, it will be heated as it comes into contact with hot rocks. Hot springs are formed by cracks extending down towards the exceedingly hot temperatures of the mantle, and water seeping downwards is heated and forced back up under pressure to bubble. Remember to bring swimming costumes and sun lotion, fresh towels will be provided by your tour guide.

Rumonge - After the swimming experience at the hot springs of Mugara, we will stop in Rumonge for the lunch break and a city orientation tour and beaches. The driving time is approximately 20 minutes. Lunch is inclusive and local drinks.

Kigwena Forest Reserve - From Rumonge, We will drive to Kigwena Forest Nature Reserve through scenic National Road Number 3.
