Merrill & Penelope - It was worth it had a wonderful experience , we cruise the bay area on the Blue$ Gold fleet took wonderful pictures of Bridge and Alcatraz. Hop on bus tour the next day

What a great way to get an overview of... - What a great way to get an overview of a lovely city - and not have to drive its crazy streets! I felt very safe with the drivers and the guides were informative - I went on several side trips they recommended. The cruise under the bridge and around Alcatraz included lots of history, had a snack bar, and covered what I wanted to know in the Bay. Good value, too!

Hop on Hop off bus tour was great. The... - Hop on Hop off bus tour was great. The tour guide was very knowledgeable. I would do it again the next time I visit. The bay cruise was less enjoyable. The windows on the boat were so dirty it was difficult to take pictures. The top deck was too crowded to get a good picture. It was also very warm inside. I would pass on this the next time I visit.

The tour was really good but the rain... - The tour was really good but the rain played a spoil sport. The bus tour could not be enjoyed because of that. Bay cruise late afternoon was the best experience with bumpy ride near Golden Gate bridge : Alcatraz with the lights on was looking better than the daytime view. Also, downtown of SFO being lit with Bay bridge on the other side was a fantastic view. Pier 39 and Girardelli Chocolate factory was nicely lit. Except the first half of disappointment due to rain, rest of the day was very good : I am enjoying Girardelli dark chocolate back home : Thank you team.

Good tour on the whole however paid for... - Good tour on the whole however paid for the one day unlimited pass to 38 different stops and only got one downtown tour ticket at the office when we went to collect our tickets did not realise until later Erica our tour guide was great and very informative Cruise was good also but very crowded

Confusion reigned. Stops were in... - Confusion reigned. Stops were in different places than on map, not enough buses, 30 minute waits were common in the hot sun, the people-wranglers kept shouting directions with no explanation. The positive was the guide who narrates the journey, and the bay cruise.

A good way to get a feel for San... - A good way to get a feel for San Francisco but the Bay Cruises did not run every half hour as stated. We were able to get a refund for the cruise portion since we were unable to take that due to time constraints and the fact that the cruise went hourly and not every half hour.

The city hop on hop off portion of this... - The city hop on hop off portion of this tour was horribly handled. It was extremely over booked and clearly beyond their ability to handle. Customers had to wait an hour and a half in the sun with one accommodations. The drivers were brash and showed little compassion. Avoid SF city tours and go with grayline tours. In all my travels this was the most poorly ran hop on hop off tour.
