  • Seokguram - The Seokguram Grotto is a hermitage and part of the Bulguksa temple complex in Gyeongju, South Korea. It and Bulguksa are both on the mountain Tohamsan, although the two are separated by distance of around 3 kilometres. The grotto overlooks the Sea of Japan and rests 750 meters above sea level.

  • Bulguksa Temple - Bulguksa is a Buddhist temple on Tohamsan, in Jinheon-dong, Gyeongju, North Gyeongsang Province, South Korea. It is a head temple of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism and contains six National Treasures, including the Dabotap and Seokgatap stone pagodas, Cheongun-gyo, and two gilt-bronze statues of Buddha.

  • Gyeongju Folk Craft Village - The Gyeongju Folk Craft Village is a village at the foothills of Toman mountain, in the neighborhood of Ha-dong, Gyeongju, North Gyeongsang province, South Korea. The village was established in 1986 to preserve and develop crafts of the Silla kingdom.

  • Daereungwon Tomb Complex - Excavated in 1973, this ancient burial tomb of an unknown king contained 11,000+ artifacts.
    Koreans traditionally buried the dead under mounds standing upright in coffins made from six planks of wood. These represent the four cardinal points on the compass plus a plank for heaven and the other for earth.

  • Gyeongju Gyochon Traditional Village - Traditional buildings, living exhibits, events & local liquor are among this tourist hub’s draws.
    Seoul’s most popular and celebrated traditional village is spread between the capital’s Gyeongbokgung and Changdeokgung palaces and the Insadong district. Koreans have inhabited Bukchon hanok village for nearly 600 years, and the area features some 900 traditional homes.

  • Cheomseongdae Observatory - Cheomseongdae is an astronomical observatory in Gyeongju, South Korea. Cheomseongdae is the oldest surviving astronomical observatory in Asia, and possibly even the world. It was constructed in the 7th century in the kingdom of Silla, whose capital was Seorabeol, or present-day Gyeongju.

  • Gyeongju National Museum - The Gyeongju National Museum is a museum in Gyeongju, North Gyeongsang Province, South Korea. Its holdings are largely devoted to relics of the Silla kingdom, of which Gyeongju was the capital.

  • Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond - Donggung Palace and Wolji Pond, formerly known as Anapji, is an artificial pond in Gyeongju National Park, South Korea. It was part of the palace complex of ancient Silla. It was constructed by order of King Munmu in 674 CE.

  • Yangdong Folk Village - Yangdong Folk Village, or Yangdong Village of Gyeongju, is a traditional yangban village from the Joseon dynasty. The village is located in Gangdong-myeon, sixteen kilometers northeast of Gyeongju, Gyeongsangbuk-do, South Korea, along the Hyeongsan River. Mt. Seolchang stands to the north of the village.

  • Tongdosa Temple - Tongdosa Salvation of the World through Mastery of Truth) is a head temple of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism and in the southern part of Mt. Chiseosan near Yangsan, South Gyeongsang Province, South Korea.

Tongdosa is one of the Three Jewels Temples and represents Gautama Buddha. (Haeinsa, also in South Gyeongsang Province, represents the dharma or Buddhist teachings; and Songgwangsa in South Jeolla Province represents the sangha or Buddhist community.)
