A must do and super interesting, with lovely views - This was a really great tour, which included entry to the museum and then a 30 minute guided tour up to and inside the lighthouse. Our tour guide was Nathan, who was really great!

Cairns to Perth via Outback Way 2024 - Highly recommend you take the tour of the lighthouse and grounds. It's not expensive and well worth it. There is lots of parking. Small entrance fee and tour. You can wander around the grounds and visit the museum. There's a short cinema movie of a ship wreck. The tour guide told us that one of the buildings was haunted. It's a short up hill walk to the lighthouse and viewing platform overlooking the Indian Ocean. There were numerous whales broaching while we were there. The icing on the cake. The lighthouse is the shortest lighthouse on mainland Australia but is situated on a high promontory. There are only about 60 steps to the top of the lighthouse. Easily done. The talk on the lighthouse was very interesting and amazing the early technology used back in the day it was built. Our guide was very knowledgeable. A must if you are in the area.

Good tour. - A great one hour tour. Kelsey our guide was informative and entertaining. The view from the top of the lighthouse is fantastic. Not too many steps either and there were small children in our group and they managed it well. Good fun.

Spectacular lighthouse experience - Stunning views from the lighthouse and awesome to see where the two oceans meet. Interesting museum that alerts you to the history of the lighthouse. I found the different lighting systems overtime as technology developed to be very interesting. Guide was informative.

Worth taking the tour - It is well worth taking the guided tour of this historic lighthouse. The tour starts with a brief history of the old keeper's cottages then as you walk up to the lighthouse brief stops on the way for more explanations. Unfortunately when we were there the wind was howling and quite cold making the tour a little unpleasant. The views from the top were excellent.
