Lively white sand beach with calm turquoise waters. - Natural Pool - Leaving the port of Bayahibe, on the way to Isla Saona by boat, a stop is made at the natural pool of Palmilla beach, about 200 or 300 meters from the beach line, with the water at the knees or at the waist, at enjoy the perfect scenery and weather. Bathers have to enjoy around 800 meters parallel to the beach, between the white sand and the huge coral terrace that separates the natural pool from the open sea and that makes this geological wonder possible.

Great excursion - Wonderful excursion! The "glass bottom" is pretty small (3-4 feet long), BUT the boat ride itself makes that fact a minimal inconvenience. The guides took us snorkeling and chummed the water to bring in fish for all of us to see. We then took a boat ride to a shallower area where one could swim, have drinks or throw a ball around for 30 minutes or so. One of the guides takes pictures while you're on board and offers them for purchase at the end. Very negotiable! Bring your own towels!! They supply water and soda and a small snack of chips and salsa.
My Dad and son had the opportunity to "fish" trolling off the back of the boat, helping the guides to catch their lunch for the day. Very unique and fun experience for them!

Not Pleased - It was not 4 hours and the glass bottom boat consisted of 2 glass panels, measuring about 12” x 14”.
