• Anamuya - After being picked up from your hotel in Punta Cana, you’ll depart the urban area and head to Higuey, the most populous city in the eastern part of the Dominican Republic. The tour includes a visit to a local school where the safari team is involved in a community initiative that supports basic education in several local communities.

After leaving Higuey, the journey continues towards the Cordillera Oriental Mountain Range, which stands at an average elevation of around 900 feet, and then proceeds into the heart of the Dominican rural landscape. Along the way, the safari vehicle will stop at two countryside estates where you will have the opportunity to learn about and sample authentic Dominican products such as cocoa, coffee, tobacco, and mamajuana (often touted as a natural love potion).
