We will meet and start our tour at a nice cafe, right at the waterfall. It calls Hønse-Lovisas-house and it is a red wooden building, you cannnot miss it.

A full afternoon of local food delights - Mathias deserves so much credit, and others need to consider this tour when visiting Oslo and the Gruenerløkka area. My husband and I signed on only 18 hours before … our cruise diverted unexpectedly to Oslo. Mathias wrote ahead of time to inquire about allergies and drink preferences. We visited 5 food stops, each one unique… a café/cultural meeting place, a food court, a walk-up hotdog stand (the queue outside showed how popular it is), a brewery, and vaffel shop (our favorite). Try one with brown cheese, sour cream and jam.

Amazing Oslo Walking Tour. Highly Recommend!! - Magnificent walking tour of Oslo and many amazing food stops along the way. We got a little history of the city and even of some of the graffiti. Highly recommend taking this tour. Super personable and friendly, and very easy to talk to and ask questions. 10/10!

Would never have thought to try the brown cheese! - We were greeted with warm cinnamons buns and waffles with brown cheese! Markus gave us such a great tour filled with culture, history and traditional food. We enjoyed everything!

Food and fine company along the Akerselva River in Oslo. - My wife and I had a wonderful afternoon with our guide Mathias in Oslo. The tour included stories of the city and the history of Norway, waffles, potato pancake with hotdogs, beer and sightseeing along the Akerselva river. But the highlights were the visit to the Mathellen food court where we were introduced to brown cheese, lamb, elk and moose dried meats, and the magnificent fish soup.
