The legends - The instructor is called “the legends” because they know all the best surf spots and exactly where to go for the best waves. Their local knowledge and experience make them the perfect guide to lead surfers to the most ideal locations.

Good experience with nice guide - This was good value for the money. A personal experience where the guide arranged for a great time on the water. He adapted the trip to our different levels. He was knowledgeable and attentive, which made us feel well taken care of all the way. We enjoy the arrangement, and would recommend this tour to others.

Great surf lesson! - Fun experience and great value surf lesson for beginners. The weather was really bad for us but our instructor Terry was determined to get the most out of the day & get us all surfing. He found a calmer spot on the beach for us and we all managed to stand up despite the harsh conditions. We had a great time and a good laugh with Terry, thank you!

Quite fun, good workout as well - Good experience with a funny and authentic australian surfer. Would recommend to young people travelling the region and wanting to experience surfing in byron bay.

Best day on holidays - Went on surfing lessons with my two nephews who were on holidays here from the US. We had a brillent day out together with Terry and his team. I have no experience at surfing but with terrys direction I was able to stand on the board before the end of the session. Awsome instructor for beginners. We also got to meet his lovely dog Mango 😀. We will be back for another lesson next time … thanks Terry for all the fun and laughs.

Fantastic Experience - I went to this surf lesson as a solo traveller and it being my first surf lesson I was a little bit nervous. This vanished the second I met Terry, he’s such a chill dude that seemed to love his job. Him and Austin were very patient and I thoroughly enjoyed the lesson, with me being able to comfortably stand up on the board at the end of the lesson. I would’ve booked again the second day however the lesson was planned too late in the evening to suit my plans. All in all I would highly recommend this school for both beginners and solo travelers, especially if you can have a bit of banter.

A unique day - It was a great experience to see the technique in calm waves and to stand on the surfboard without fear of being overrun by the power of the waves. I had a lot of fun and enjoyed being able to stand and have long waves to surf at any time.

Fun catching waves - Ter is great super knowledgeable and makes you feel welcomed. Will guarantee you laugh & catch a wave! Good ratio of instructors to people attending the lessons 1:5 ratio mostly.

Best surfing lesson ever!!!! - Terry and Austin are absolute legends, as soon as we arrived at the meeting point we were greeted with an awesome and welcoming vibe.. wasn't a dull moment with Terry with his great humour and knowledge of the area!! And the surfing was heaps easier than expected and thats all to do with Terry and Austin's great teaching methods!! Everyone in both groups managed to stand up more than just once! We all left with a huge smile and the cost of the lesson was so cheap!! Didn't hurt the wallet to have an awesome time! Thanks again to everyone at KOOL KATZ!!! From Justin and Jesse 😊
