An excellent experience through and through - From the very start this was a professional and enjoyable experience. Angus the skipper and his crew make you feel most welcome. The boat, ponchos and life vests are of very good quality. And then of course, the highlight, the whales. After just a short ride from the harbour you get to see this magnificent creatures. In addition one gets many interesting facts about them during the watching breaks. I can absolutely recommend booking with this company if one wants to go whale watching.

A great whale watching experience with a small group - Good reporting instructions-need to arrive 20 mins before sailing for simple safety and “consideration” (basically don’t stand up when you see whales so everyone has a chance to have a good look/photo shot) briefing. The boat was for groups of up to 20, so the experience felt personal and not just like a big commercial sausage factory. Two people led the trip, the captain in charge of the boat, and the zoologist leading on the whale info, both had useful insights to share. I liked that the whale expert had a lot of technical knowledge - if you asked questions she was able to explain things in an easy to understand way. There was quite a lot of movement of the boat at times as it rode the waves, so this is probably not a trip for younger children - toddlers and babies definitely not appropriate. We got several very good views of humpback whales as they breached, slapped or just peered at us - much closer than I expected. This was at least as much due to the whales being interested in the boat as the boat looking for the whales. A very worthwhile trip, about 2 hours in total.

Incredible experience! - Amazing day! ! We were very lucky to have a close up experience with the whales. They were coming right up to the boat, going under the boat, lots of sounds and spray. Could see the bumps on their bodies and at no time did I feel afraid. Staff were great, very knowledgeable and Angus, our skipper took us out quite a long way, very safe crossing of bar. We had incredible weather on the day. Very reasonably priced, just do it if you have been thinking about it. Great for a gift also.

Beautiful experience - We took the 7 a.m. tour, and everything was very clear with the instructions on how to find the boat, which was located in Ballina. We started the tour, and we began to see whales very quickly—a beautiful experience.

Outstanding Experience - What a morning we had yesterday. It was cool, but the all weather gear keep us warm. After an exhilarating journey across the bar it was no time before we saw whales. Whales on either side of the boat, some in pairs. Sitting on clam water watching them is something I'll always remember and cherish. The excitement of seeing one swim up and breach right next to the boat and almost close enough to touch will stay with me. I'm so happy to have experienced my time with these majestic mammals. The tour greatly exceeded my expectations, and I recommend Out of the Blue Adventures to everyone.
