Afterwards, we’ll make a stop at the Sagmossavank Monastery, positioned on the brink of the Kasakh gorge, providing a breath-taking view. Our journey will continue towards Ohanavank, a medieval monastery complex nestled on the right bank of the Kasakh River, found in the eastern section of the Ohanavan village. It served as a prominent spiritual and cultural hub of medieval Armenia. We will also visit the monument dedicated to the Armenian alphabet. Subsequently, we will journey to the enigmatic medieval Amberd fortress (7th-13th centuries AD), set on the incline of Mount Aragats (4091 meters above sea level). From this vantage point, you can lay eyes on the twin peaks – Aragats and Ararat.
