Amazing - great guide, beautiful place - Loved it! Beautiful place, nice food along the way, the place we stayed the night had a pool which was perfectly refreshing😁. Rafael was an amazing guide - nice, funny and giving us loads of info about colca and also peru (culture, food to try, etc) and telling us loads of stories - made it a great experience! The hot springs the 2nd day were properly hot not just warm and felt great after the hike!

Colca canyon 2D/1N - Colca Canyon is for sure on of the top places in Peru! I did the hike with a awesome international group and it was just a little exhausting, but mostly just a pleasure for me.
Our guide Carlos was also just how I like it. He has nice sense of humor and cares about nature and explained many interesting stuff on the trail.

Best Colca Tour in Arequipa! - The food, the accommodation and especially the planned route was perfect.
But especially with the Tour guides it was very great, funny and also interesting because they explain a lot about the canyon.

Rafa made the experience special! - Definitely a must when you are in Peru. We had an amazing hike into the canyon with Rafael as the guide. He was knowledgeable, supportive, entertaining and ENTHUSIASTIC. We will remember this trip because of him. Would highly recommend this to anyone!

Nice hiking tour trough a big canyon - Was such a nice trip. Our guide Frank was very nice. He told us much about the canyon. You live there pretty simple but that’s part of the experience and I don’t wanna miss this part. But for the hiking part you have to be really fit!! On the second day we went 1200 m of anlt before the breakfast. All in all I had 2 amazing days!

Great tour with amazing Guide! - We had a great tour with Rafa! He is such a engaging guide who took great care of the whole group and made the trip memorable with the stories and facts about the Colca Canyon he told us on the way.
The tour was organised very good, pick-up was on time and the food provided basic but very good, also accomodating vegetarian options!
The hike is definitely challenging, especially the second day. But again, Rafa encouraged and motivated us all through the way and did a great job.

Stunning scenery, worth the effort! - We had a fantastic trek with our guide, Rafael, into Colca Canyon. The scenery was stunning and we spotted a few condors too. Rafael had an impressive amount of knowledge on subjects including local flora and fauna (including uses for certain plants, including E number where applicable!), culture and local history. We learned lots and also loved his energy and enthusiasm.
Regarding the accommodation, it was very basic with only a cold shower but we slept well and it was a step up from camping on the Inca trail.
The food was pretty basic/simple too but did the job (the Inca trail had the edge on that front).
Given the basic accommodation and food, you need to pay the right price for this tour. Booking it whilst in Arequipa rather than online is the way to go. Everyone in our group paid a different amount (significantly different in some cases) which is not unusual but not very fair either.
Regarding difficulty level- it was challenging at times, particularly the uphill slog on the last day. So a reasonable level of fitness is important.

Unforgettable experience, Thank you Rafael! - Huge recommendation! Rafael is without a doubt the best tour guide I have ever had! His passion and personal connection to the area made the trek much more interesting and informative. We got to taste delicious fruits and herbs along the way, as well as hearing a lot of super interesting stories about the area and it’s history. Lunch and breakfast was delicious both days. Just what you need after a long night/day of hiking. The accommodation was very beautiful as well. Simple, but it has everything you need. As a hiker with not much experience, the hike was definitely challenging (especially day 2 which is only upwards), but it was still manageable. Rafa made sure to set the pace in the beginning, but let everyone go at their own pace after about 30 minutes, so there was no rush at all, if you’re not the fastest. I had a lot of fun with the group I went with, which is of course a huge bonus. All in all it was an incredible experience, and I would recommend this specific trip for anyone considering trekking Colca Canyon!

Excellent experience with Carlos in Valle del Colca - The trekking and views were stunning but nothing would have been the same without our guide Carlos, he really made the experience wonderful. Great team!
