What to know before going on the kayak trip - There is a little communication from the company about what to expect. Participants should come dressed in swimwear or water wear that you don’t mind getting wet up to your waist. You should also have some kind of water shoes as the walk to the kayaks is an area that has many stones. You have to walk to the kayaks into about knee-deep water. Bring a towel. There is no place to store clothes that you’d want to change into after. If you drive there, you can store them in your car but if you don’t, there is no secure place to put them. You would need to change into your dry clothes in the bathroom. Bathrooms are limited. There is one place where you can get Snacks or food. No water bottle or bags or anything are allowed in the kayaks. Phones are really optional because the guide will take a picture and then AirDrop it to you. Also, it’s a 3 mile trip. They are two people kayaks and the heavier person needs to sit in the back. Very good instructions on how to maneuver before you leave shore. There is a lead guide , a guy at the end of the line of kayaks and 2 in between. We went on a 6 pm adventure and were finished and back by 7:30.

Family w/ teen - night row - This was a fantastic night. Despite the low level of bio luminosity, it was exciting to row through the mangroves at sunset while listening to the coquillo. We learned a lot in the lagoon and all had a good time.

Older Adventure Seekers Say “Do It!” - We are adventurers, but in our 60s and wanted a company that would provide excellent communication about expectations and provide an experience that offered adventure yet some reassurance of experienced guides. Our guide was knowledgeable, we always felt safe and learned a good amount about the stats and local eco-system. Highly recommend!

A must! - Although not very luminous the night we went, the guides were fun and worked efficiently to guide everyone through the mangroves at night. Definitely would do again! Go early and have dinner at the nearby restaurants.

Must do and see. - Had a great time. The guides were very knowledgeable and entertaining. We did see the bioluminescent algae. It was not as bright due to rain the day before. But my husband and I had a great time a must due if in Puerto Rico. Plus they tour guide loved my tattoo .

Fantastic kayak tour - The bio luminescent lights were great. The tour guide was very knowledgeable. The only downside was that there were too many tours on the river.

Fun kayaking through mangroves. - Beautiful tour on a small river through the Mangroves. Too much light pollution on the lagoon. Unfortunately the bioluminescent plankton are not doing well and few can be seen.
